  • @pcvideogamer

Bloody hell, you alright mate? Think you need a herbal tea.

This was never going to be and never pretended to be anything from Bach or Mozart. What it was, was something great to listen to in a night club to help release all that pent-up energy that we would have had in the late '80s. Probably doesn't come across on some computer's speakers too well but in a club with a half decent sound system it worked. (Although not my favourite track by some margin).

  • @lewis72 Sure understood, sorry if i made a mountain out of a molehill... i used to be a DJ myself back in the day, maybe from 1983 to 1993, house, usual stuff, i wrote to Colin Favor at Kiss FM about the systemic and gradual lowering of quality of certain types of dance music at the time and he actually read out my letter live on air, he supported me, so it's not just a rant :) the market became flooded with dross after the popularity of mainstream tunes like "We call it acieed"

  • @pcvideogamer

Haha! Now you come to mention it...

I would always bemoan those who stood outside McDonald's with ghetto blasters playing commercial dance crap thinking it was good, when the real stuff had to be hunted out. Arguably, The Prodigy were one of a few real dance acts that made it main stream.

Furthermore, I'd hate the clubs that would play the radio edit of a dance track when the much better version was arguably the 12" remix (e.g. Dirty Cash "Dollar & Dime" Vs "Sold Out")

  • @lewis72 i remember those people...haha, they were everywhere, the media furore about 'acid' etc etc fueled some producers to make quick commercial profit making pop-dance, you had to travel a bit to avoid the whistles and then the gloves and then the ski-masks and then... oh lets all go underground :) i helped the Israeli's out in 1990-91 has my own club night there and they lapped up the freestyle UK house scene, great people, you gotta have standards which i tried to maintain :)

  • @pcvideogamer hello viddi sorry to say this is still shite

  • @pcvideogamer dont tie us all with the same brush though but yeah i couldent agree more.

  • esta rola para mi era muy moderna para su epoca, para mi con esto iniciò el technohouse.

  • @pcvideogamer aha , now i know.
