  • Why isn't the Guardian blue?

  • I missed Ollie?

  • In these cartoons, Kyro became an alien youngster to avoid ethnic stereotyping.

  • When you are the mighy guardian of universe and dont have any better shit to do...you just get into Star Trek universe and giant-punch USS Enterprise.

  • case you were wondering the narrator is Ted knight (caddy shack)

  • DC rules!

  • Ryan Reynolds is awesome and one of the most versatile, talented and underrated actors ever.

I've liked him ever since "Two Guys and a Girl" but it's amazing he's gone to do the roles he has.

He can do any role and fit it perfectly. But of course, anything sort of... Cocky or with any aspect of wit is my favourite.

  • Ryan Reynolds sucks

  • I'm glad they have changed the guardians' designs in the newer comics

  • Yes, that is the voice of Ted Baxter from The Mary Tyler Moore Show in the intro, the late, great Ted Knight. He was the narrator of many late 1960's early 1970's cartoon projects and even the Super Friends (Marvin & Wendy years). Freeze frame the credits on the DVD's if you have any doubt. "meanwhile, in the great hall of the Justice League..." oh, what great memories!

  • Is that Ted Baxter doing the intro to this cartoon, too?

  • Green Lantern the animated movie is having its world premier at San Dieago Comic-Con 2009!

  • Ryan Reynolds has been cast as Green Lantern!!

  • No. it's Burt Reynolds

  • LAME!!!

  • I had no idea this ever even existed.

  • They should make Green Lantern solo animation rather than Justice League for the newest cartoon series.

Come on man, give other DC superhero a chance.

Cause all i see is only Superman & Batman cartoon in past decades

  • GL will be the next DC Animated Film, according to a documentary on the Wonder Woman animated DVD.

  • Dude you're late for months.

    I already know that

  • @takufan4 Yeah, I saw it & it was pathetic.

  • Cool.

Hey, Green Lantern punched the Starship Enterprise! ;)

  • You have a lantern Fan here...thanks for posting!!!

  • Although I've always been slightly more of a Marvel Comics fan, I have to admit: DC had much better quality cartoons during the late 60s. I recently saw the old Marvel Superheros cartoons from 1966. Yuck!

  • Well, The Marvel Superheroes(1966) had crude animation, sure, but the stories were a heck of alot better, with more depth than any of the DC Filmation cartoons or Hanna-Barbera's Super Friends. Hanna-Barbera's Fantastic Four(1967) and Grantray-Lawrence's Spider-Man(1967) were also very entertaining.

  • @truebobcat Yeah but they were closer to the comic books because they adapted the stories. The DC cartoons were kinda goofy.

  • @truebobcat Yeah the Filmation animation was simply smoother, while the Marvel ones (Thor, Iron Man, Namor, Hulk..) were really poorly animated, even the most popular Spider-Man 1967 series of Fantastic Four ones..

  • Well, certainly it wouldn't be strange if the first comics books of Green Lantern contain subliminal religious messages. In the case of this character, I don't think so, but it's possible.

By the way, there is Superman's native name, Kal-El, as a reference to archangels' names: Gabriel, Miguel, etc. And the authors of Superman are jewish.

  • EmmanuEl: God with us. Superman and many heroes are a symbols of the resurrected bodies of the believers

  • wd :)but all i can do is find openings if u hav sum full eps of green lantern the flash hawkman aquaman superboy&man or the 68 70s batman can u put them up thankx or tell me were to find more than on y/tube thankx again frm down under in aus :)
