@consuella01 mineral oil is bad because it creates a thick layer on the hair and prevents any moisture from getting into the hair strand. mineral oil can also cause build up and the only way to really wash it out of your hair is to shampoo your hair. whereas, a natural oil, such as coconut oil, is considered one of the best kind of oil to use because the molecules are small enough to penetrate your hair strand and create a thin barrier to hold the moisture in your hair

@babi3face1 Hi, there are a lot of vids on here about specific types of Pre-Poo and Co-Wash. Generally, a pre-poo helps with detangling and pre-conditioning before you shampoo your hair. I am transitioning, so I always pre-poo with a mixture of conditioner, honey, olive oil and coconut oil. Co-Wash is washing your hair with conditioner only. There a lot of vids on this too. Some ladies do this between relaxers basically to remoisturize the hair. Hope I helped some!

exactly what do all those oils do? i just started my healthy hair journey and i wanna make sure im doing it right. ive been doing the same things i did last year. onlydifference is i stopped using doo gro and started using olive oil moisturizing lotion and sealing with coconut oil. after the moisturizer dries, my hair looks dull . with the doo gro it had bounce body and shine. could it be im not retaining enough moisture?

i never used oil until 2 weeks ago. i cut my hair in an almost shaved state. i only used doo gro triple strength lotion. i washed and deep conditioned weekly. i got almost 7 inches in 1 full yr. my hair is very healthy. im glad i found this info, cause i didnt know half of anything. now im moisturizing and sealing with oil. but i dont get the same hair txture, body or shine, like i had when i was using the doo gro. i moisturize with olive oilmoiturizing lotion

@xoSincerexo Oh its great just use it a little because its very thick, apply to your scalp about 3 days before wash day or 4 hours on wash day, because some ppl have itches when it stays on for more then 3 days or go on google and look up on it. but you will be please by the results it really thick up my hair and now i am on a 6 month challenge using it and taking botin and my edges are thicker than normal.

do health food stores sell all types of oils I've only seen coconut oil but I'll have to go back and look around more. They tend to keep their oils off of the display counters.

You actually can find all of those oils at beauty supply store. The store just has to have a huge selection of products/items. Best bet would be to call any store to see if they have what you're looking for before making the trip.

whole foods prices are high, you can most of your oils and you local supermarket.....you can also get your oils really cheap at your local indian markets. at marshall's and home goods, you can find good quality oils at a cheap price

Lol... that's for American people but for US, I mean european people (especially me, I'm french and living in France) It's hard as F to find all those oils, for example yesterday I got on amazon.COM (which means amazonf for the US since for us it is amazon.FR) and I started buying all those oils u can't find in here but all I got was "Unfortunately, access to this particular item has been blocked due to legal restrictions in some countries" which means that even on amazon we can't get them :'(

hey girly, I know in my area I found all of my 100% oils in the BSS, they are getting way hip to what the healthy hair craze is demanding. they sell all of the NOW brand oils that I see a lot of Ytubers use but I'm on the outskirts of atlanta so u can get just about anything in the BSS here
