its like, i dont find anything illuminating or insightful about life or the soul being discovered and shared through her music. shes an entertainer, a legend, and has the biggest voice is all of music history. but she didnt change anything through her artistic contributions, culturally

To me, she perfected the art of "acting" while performing, however fake it sometimes looks. She makes it ok in my mind to be as emotionally "out there" and become a character as much as possible. Other women sing with emotion and command an audience, she does so while actually "acting". You normally only see this on broadway.

After you listen to Shirley Bassey sing...you might as well shut off your cd player....no one else can top her vocal ability....no one. She sets the bar higher than anyone else can get to....amazing post!
