no, it's a single player part 2. it is the same except that you can't form partyes. You have to go by your self all the way.

you don't have to, they're isn't going to be online play for much longer though, I forget the exact date but they're shutting it down in the next year

i love that game, this is the first video of it iv seen but it looks fantastic i thought it was a single player only FPS not a MMORPG-FPS, and a great one at that, i just ordered a nvidia geforce 9600GT 512mb and will be making videos for CoD4 and Crysis on how it runs, i know its been done but im bored lol, cant wait to get my hands on CoD4 multiplayer :) my old video card broke about 13 months back and i just made enough money for the 9600GT (i started trying to make money 2 weeks ago lol) :D
