  • bible : Cool story bro

  • Now on the other hand brother what do you think this resembles???This is why the scriptures say...

    King James 2000 Bible (©2003)

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:Abraham sacrificing his son depicts how God sent his only son just for you and me....he lived a perfect and blameless life ....so that the imperfect you and me could live. The liberty is all yours brother...!!!

  • jesus wasnt god this guy was one of few to convert for money

  • @jayd4ever which is stupid

  • Experience is proof enough.

  • dear friend please visit my site atavist biblical church. Thanks.

  • I take apart Ravi Zacharias in my video

  • My comment is for the video, Every time I see a video on the bible, Christians all look, smell, and sound like a used car salesmen. Why is this, don't sell me the bible, talk to me. Not down at me like a fool. I am not looking to buy, I am willing to hear you? I am not looking for anyone to jump all over me with the fires of hell, either. I am also a married homosexual, giving up my loving marriage will not happen. But I am willing to understand this side of the bible.

  • All you Christians should check out ATHEISTEXPERIENCECOM and TALKORIGINSORG. I challenge Ravi Zacharias to call into the Atheist Experience show and debate Christianity. This would be a great opportunity for Ravi Zacharias to spread the "good news", so why not give it a go, Ravi? However, Ravi, understand this, you will not be permitted to just go into preaching mode, you will have to present REASONS for your beliefs. Go on Ravi, I think it would be great.

  • @NIETZSCHEAN14

It wouldn't even be worth his time. There would be nothing to gain for both sides. For those Atheists just don't care what you tell them or what arguments you through at them, they just want to disprove there is a god and have hardened there hearts (or to put it bluntly become ignorant) to any fact or argument proving the probability of a gods existence.

    See what I mean?

  • usa took in all religions too (masons did that in usa if you know about them, they took it all in except Middle Eastern beleifs??? thats messed up, masons in usa are corrupted because the Quran is the same as bible in a way). Other "empires" and countries/nations did the same too. But usa aint like these others. Someone else is in charge of the beliefs on WIELDING it. I can take a wild guess.

Be sure to give money every Sunday!!!

  • Im not commenting on other religions. Only the BELIEVERS in usa. They corrupted this belief in usa so badly. Its not even funny. "DIVINE"... if we all were on same page how would we turn out? Well... nevermind. Look how its working out right now.

  • I dont care if angered some of you or not. There are no christians in usa. You all were masons the entire time and didnt know it. Just trust me, I know. I didnt like going to church either due to how it was being used in a way. My adoption dad went thru it too. He got kicked out of the catholic church in usa due to a divorce (haha... I wonder why). The pastor liked HER but dad didnt? She was most likely a slut... no comment. I dont want to know what was really going on. DECHANT!!!

  • @DarkPrinceNH5570

Christians say God planned Jesus'death before the foundations of the world.Let's see.God forbids murder and false testimony and knows humans will sin.So he makes humans

anyways knowing many go to hell. His plan requires men to murder and lie or it will not work.He cannot forgive unless his son, conceived through the rape of engaged girl,

is brutalized and killed. If we believe this wickedness,we are saved. This is evil by all human moral standards.Christianity should be banned.

  • @thedagonjones

Fist off it says in the Bible that Jesus came from Mary and conceived by the Holy Spirit. It never said she was conceived by rape nor did it ever say that Mary was brutalized and killed. Don't make false textual claims. Secondly, god created man so they may glorify him. He gave man freewill, he gave man the ability to choose weather or not to be loyal or not, which is in the end true love. We broke that loyalty and we are responsible for our own actions. Get it?

  • @Dan178000

    God said do Not kill.Gen9,Ex20

God said do NOT learn the way heathen serve their gods burning children as sacrifices and he HATES this.Deu12:30-31.

God said he NEVER commanded, mentioned nor even thought people would be so wicked they would sacrifice and burn children.Jer19:5.

God does NOT tempt with evil.James1

Abram should have told the demon telling him sacrifice and burn 2nd son"Get behind me devil.God forbids murder."

    Abram followed demon;ignored god's commands.

  • @thedagonjones

So all of the evil in the world has been from the result of our own actions making it our fault and not gods. But luckily for us, God sent his son Jesus to save us from our destructive nature and even granted us the option of having eternal life. That is if you choose to believe or not.

  • @Dan178000

Just before the knife plunges, god stops this wicked command. This is a very insecure, capricious, untrustworthy god.You can rely on NOTHING he says.

How do you get around the words of god which states he NEVER commanded, mentioned nor did it enter his mind people would sacrifice and burn their children?Jer19:5

It is called manufacturing a god to control people of the tribe....especially the female population used for sexual pleasures and work force.

    Christians are delusional.

  • @thedagonjones

If you read the complete text and researched its true context you would find that God was merely testing his loyalty and never had wicked intentions. Don't make false textual claims. Your 3rd paragraph is ludicrous, which makes it so people can't take you seriously.

  • @Dan178000

Hard even for you to take.Does god know the very intent of the heart. Is he so insecure he commands a man to do evil to test him?James1 says god will NOT do this.

Abram should have said to demonic voice"I will NOT do evil and disobey the command of god.He has commanded NOT to kill. You are in DIRECT OPPOSITION to his command and we are NOT to disobey his commands. Therefore I know you are a demonic spirit.Get behind me Satan."

You see what you believe defies god calling him liar.

  • @thedagonjones

    @thedagonjones

I believe your perception of God is skewed. You are right on this from a worldly perspective. But this is where you are wrong. You have to perceive this event from an otherworldly perspective. For God is not of this world for he is holy. Since he is holy his inventive would not derive from insecurity but out of love. God was testing Abraham's loyalty out of love like a father would test there son to see where his heart is at.

  • @Dan178000

Doesn't god know everything even the intent of a man's heart? Why would he command us not to learn how to do that which he hates, burning children, and then go and command a man does it?What would god have done if Abram said,"Get behind me Satan.God commanded men not to murder.I know this is not the voice of God as he is reliable in what he commanded."

Would God have ignited fury against Abram for obeying command NOT to kill?Seems to me Abram would be commanded for resisting voice.

  • @thedagonjones

He was tempted Abraham to so he would fear God and become humbled his own good like a father would put a son into his rightful place out of love so he wouldn't cause any inevitable harm to himself in the world.

It says in the bible in Genesis 22:12 "'Do not lay a hand on the boy,' he said. 'Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son."

  • @thedagonjones

It can be implied that God preordained he would not go through with the sacrifice, for god knows all. He tempted him for good results that he knew would come forth at the end. *Not all temptations are bad*. God knew this temptation would have inevitable good results and bring justice for his good in the future for he is all knowing, thus making this not a sinful temptation. God will always on your side and not against you, if you believe he is God.

  • @thedagonjones

brother. If you read the scriptures well enough brother you will find that.....

God also mentioned 'you shall love the lord your God with all your heart and all your soul'Abraham must have been so excited at Isaac's birth that he must have not considered God as he would in the early days....God did this as an act of test....He knows our heart.....and besides he loves us all...whatever he does he does it for good...He was testing abrahams obedience.

  • @alsafeereqpt

You just stated YWHW knows our hearts. Why the test with evil?James1 says YWHW will NOT test with evil.Killing and burning a child is very evil and no different than what Satan would ask. YWHW loves you so much that if a woman is raped, the men are to take her out of the city and stone her.

Abram already had a son from a good marriage named Ishmael.Isaac was born from his sister. YWHW said if a man scroggs his siste it is a cursed thing and wicked. Not muslim either.

  • I have a belief on something. That one day... "EARTH" will meet aliens!!! No really, I hope it happens!

  • @DarkPrinceNH5570 well the the Illuminati are planing to fake a alien encounter as a attack or landing to try to destroy religion but bible believers will know the lies, also ufos are demon spirits they are planning the last days deception, to make people believe in Aliens.

  • Not being racist either. White people do it too. A guy by the name of Larry has his own church in kansas. Im not for sure what or how he is wielding this but I know enough.

*a woman bent over backwards with Larry behind her* "this land is my land... this land is your land..."

  • Christians in usa piss me off. You are fucking retards. If you want to believe in something "MAGICAL". Might as well get scifi and believe in scientology or something. ALIENS are cool!!! I admit it.

I can already hear the arguments about this.

I think its funny how some of these guys use religion to get laid with depressed hot/cute women. Its in the media. Ever seen FRIDAY? That one pastor goes over to that one womans house? Ya... anyways... thats what masons do in usa.

  • Wow! Going on and on for 6 minutes without ever making a valid point for his assertions. That must be a new record...

  • The Hasmonean Empire came out of the Seleucid and Ptolemaic Empires (not the Romans). When the Romans came into the picture it was 63 B.C.. But the Jews established their own sovereignty and that is by the war they won that Hannuka still celebrates.

  • @Aristobulus789 surprised someone knows history on a BIBLE christian vid in usa!!!

  • It is sad his name is even Ravi. Ravi an awesome Sanskrit name and this guy, with his support of the ridiculous nature of the bible and his concept of Jesus is tarnishing the name Ravi. This also goes of the fool named Dinesh D'souza as well. Dinesh is another equally awesome Sanskrit name being tarnished by Christian non-sense.

  • @tomtomttom: the bible supports whatever you think it supports, because the only law in the universe is the Law of Relativity (things are relative to how you perceive them). Exodus 18:11 "Now I know the Lord God is greater than all other God's, for he delivered the people from the hands of the Egyptians, who had dealt with them arrogantly." Jesus cares most for the oppressed, the poor. Come on pal... get real... and I for one don't read the OLD testament (because Jesus broke a lot of it).

  • "the bible supports whatever you think it supports,...only law in the universe is the Law of Relativity "

@aclunie84 That's why the bible is a joke. I used to be Christian, but man, Christians need to remove the bible from Christ. How can Christians say on one had to support the old testament because it was the law before Christ and after that it isn't. Basically it shows to me it was the same God of the Old testament that said a lot of shit and than changed his mind. Come on

  • @depthofgratitude : you seem like you've skipped a dosage or two of your earthly meds. truth is an energy we all seek, you seem coated in something else

  • Your bible supports slavery my friend:

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)

The servant will be severely punished, for though he knew his duty, he refused to do it. "But people who are not aware that they are doing wrong will be punished only lightly. Much is required from those to whom much is given, and much more is required from those to whom much more is given." (Luke 12:47-48 NLT)

  • @tomtomttom Paul was speaking of the Roman empire, which had an institution of slavery. He was not condoning slavery in the least. He was not speaking to everyone in that specific statement. Look into the context of things for more information.

  • @mwright11231992 I'm not a fool. If Jesus was against slavery why didn't he out right say no one should every own a single slave for my father considers slavery to be the greatest of all sins. No he did not say that. He saw slavery practiced everywhere. Jews even had slavery. Instead Jesus said to obey your earthly master as you would serve Christ. That is pretty clear to me. He supported slavery.

  • @KimInLosAngeles You obviously sound like Korean extremist hating on Japanese. I'm an ex-Christian that does not support Christianity, but even I can see through to your racism. If you don't like Japan for what it did to Korea during WW2 and before, fine I can agree. As an American I'm not happy about pearl harbor either, but seriously, I think you are just being racist here. You emphasized the Japanese people to much instead of your hate to polytheism. Stop the racism.

  • @tomtomttom

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG W/ YOU?

Judging by your other comments, you are one of those shitheads who provoke people into conversation.

This is a video on relgions, so as a person who studied comparative religions, I wrote about one of religions I studied, Shintoism.

You are like Obamabots - "You must be a racist because you criticize the actions of Obama & his administration."

Don't accuse others as racists because they said some facts.

    Instead provoking others, FUCK YOURSELF!

  • "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG W/ YOU?"

@KimInLosAngeles Sounds very Christian of you. Clearly you are a racist that hates Japanese. Sounds like the good word has made you love everyone.

  • @tomtomttom

To you: "What the fuck is wrong with you" EQUALS being racist.

    You are a retard!!!

Ask your parents if they committed incest to have you.

You must be an inbred with IQ around room temperature.

I don't want to spend time with fucking retard who considers others racist if they say anything negative, so consider this as the last reply.

FOR THE SAKE OF HUMAN RACE GENE POOL, DON'T HAVE ANY CHILDREN.

    GO KILL YOURSELF!

  • "You are a retard!!!"

@KimInLosAngeles Every time you write something you keep showing how great the bible and jesus is. LOL. First of all, all vast majority of japanese people do not support incest nor did they participate in it. You really have an utter hate for them. Wow. My father lost friends during WW2, but I never seen him hate japanese like you do. If this is what the bible and jesus is teaching you, I don't want it. I'm glad I left christianity because it seems to be teaching racism.

  • @KimInLosAngeles And for your information, I've been to Japan and Korea and both people are wonderful and amazing people. I've spoken to the younger generation there and there really seems to be an desire to put their parents wars behind them and start a new. Japan and Korea used have such great exchanges and now people like you are trying to start wars. Seriously, what do you want to do, kill all the Japanese? Is that ultimate goal? What is it? That's how you sound like.

  • @KimInLosAngeles I would understand your anger towards Japan if its people was doing something to Korea now. But it has been peaceful and a threat to no one. It isn't even allowed to have a military force. Your fears are unfounded. I don't even see Japanese on a large scale even pushing their religion. If anything, I would be more worried by your neighbor north of you. Sounds like they are up to something. And worried about China and their military ambitions. Have some perspective.

  • @tomtomttom Why can't we just get along and build everywhere more McDonalds, Wendys, Taco Bells, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Popeyes and others??

  • I long sought to debate Ravi Zecharias. In a book I wrote and published a few years ago I mentioned my desire to debate Ravi and prove to the world the fallacies preached and believed today in the Christian church. His actions (preaching and teaching to spiritually ignorant students and faculty) are immoral, as history proves that they don't work. See who serves Satan, or the God of Isaiah 45:7. See "Must see shocking servants of the antichrist exposed." You have NO CLUE what you beLIEve.

  • The ignorance of believers knows no bounds. The Bible is a baggage of eastern and pagan doctrines and teachings. The Bible is highly contradictory and therefore inaccurate.

  • @depthofgratitude The Bible appears contradictory and a mish mash of different cultures when one looks at it as a rule book or instruction manual. God reveals himself in a mode that a person can specifically relate to. If God has a message to give to a Korean, it's in Korean. If English, in English. etc. God one time used Jonah who was barfed out of a fish to get his message across to people who worshiped fish gods in Ninevah - The vehicle was certainly "pagan" but God's message remained intact.

  • @assym2006 - I pray that you will be given sight beyond sight. If you take this world we live in for face value, then there is no point to exist. You should be okay with taking whatever you want, whenever. There is nothing to measure up too. You may as well kill yourself! I am in NO WAY telling u to do such, I'm just making a point.

  • mate theres talking about the same place and the same asson .. example. when she went to the tomb of jesus(p.b.u.h) it was open.. someone else says its losed... one min its open nxt closed.. ive read the bible cover to cover and know hoow croted it is made.. and no its not diffrint in little ways but big ways ... the story is not even there.. but each person saying something diffrint.. if this was a police case there would had been bihind bars by now as there storys dont addup mate

  • Why do the nations rage and the people's plot in vain?

    toibry.blog.com

  • Why do people listen to this nut job? Seriously, every day more and more Christians are waking up from the lies they were told, and now this guy comes along and actually thinks he can convince people to go back to believing.

  • @nkelly1432 have you researched the claims that Dr. Ravi Zacharias has explained in this video, or are you just making a statement of disbelief without having done the research to see whether or not these things are factual aNd evidential?? your statement personally attacks Dr. Ravi Zacharias aNd you make a broad statement about Christians "waking up from .. lies" but you haven't given one example of fact to support your statement, sO then i ask you .. have you done the honest research??

  • Read your Bible well man. Isaiah 45:7 is one fact to support the statement you seek. Do you want more Scriptures you will not like and agree with? I wrote a book on the subject. You beLIEve what you want and it is not working for anyone. Open your mind. Didn't Jesus say to his disciples that he will return before some of them will taste death? Didn't Jesus say that those who believe in him can also do what he does? I can't post any more here. Email me. Search all things and..

  • @becauselifematters

God tells a man to kill and burn his son.Gen22.Previously,God instructed NOT to kill.Gen9.James1 says God will NOT tempt with evil. What would YHWH have done if Abram said to this demonic voice order his son burned,"Get behind me Satan,God has forbidden murder. You are wicked and in the name of YHWH,LEAVE ME NOW WICKED BEING."God said he NEVER commanded this burning of Isaac and never even thought about it.Jer19:5.He says he hates burning children.Deut12:31.Ravi money whore.

  • @becauselifematters As a graduate of UofI, I would like to ask this question to Ravi, "Is Bible a summarized account of His Story? These days if we wanted to know what happened in the past, with recorded videos we can go back to a specific day, hour, minute and second. Hey Atheists, Agnosticists, Skeptics and the Media, how can you anything unless you have a minute by minute if not second by second account of what happened? Ravi's arguments are very convincing.

  • this is how you find the errors in the bible...

see the accounts of one person. mark luke john ect . .

then see the same accounts of someone else of the same account and youll find there would be many insetsy ini.. for example one person would say he said this.. anoyther would say compltry something else..

one person would say he said nothign when he was on the cross and die that way. another wouls say he said my father ect .. also go on my page and youll see many listed in the infos

  • Respectfully, to me that affirms the truth of the Bible. If Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all wrote the exact same thing, they'd be charged with collaborating a story. It's the very fact that they all are a little different in what they write about but all with the same foundational substance that leads us to think contrary.

  • can someone please explain to me what Ravi meant at 3:46.. "Now the Bible as we know it, does not affirm that verbal perfection."

  • Comment removed

  • @JusJuiceIt hes talking about the way Muslims basically refer to the Koran as perfect and thus can not be tarnished by translation into languages other than Arabic (they say it would loose its holy meaning). Christian view the Holy Bible as a book that can be translated, while the message of God is not changed/hindered. The Koran itself states its literary perfection, but any of the books of the Bible make no such claim about themselves. Jesus is awesome, hes there for everybody, God is good.

  • @MegaSheepboy

thanks for the comment bro! and yes Jesus is awesome.. Praise the God who came in the flesh as sacrifice for our sins.

  • Heaven is for Real. by Todd Burpo. Is the true story oh his four year old som's near death experience and proves Jesus Christ is who He says He is. You can argue ad nausea but remember that today could be the last day of life for any of us.

  • to vailixi9": What do you mean by" Christianity is good"?

  • If anyone took Christ seriously, I mean anyone, none of the corruptions endemic in the churches, exploitation, infighting, even in Ravi Zacharias' own community, would have not happened. These are just mere words and spin by social climbers. Ask yourself this question, how can you change the religious fat cats from exploiting the laity? Ask them what it it means to be Christ? Christianity is good but it is blatantly mismanaged.

  • everyone to there own, but im an athesist. for one reason, they say earth was created abt 4,414 BC??? earths the same age as the solar system, 4 1/2 billion years old, and thats proven. id love to believe that life after death is there, i really would. heaven must be crowded. no disrepect to believers.

  • @saschiver

Sir or Maam, I would challenge you to your belief by asking the question: "Are you Athiest or Agnostic?". Athiesm is believing there is no god. Agnostic is not knowing what to believe. Too say that there is no god without knowing for sure is very risky. Too say that you are not sure may be closer to the truth. This question and statement is meant with respect to you and I am certainaly not judging your lifestyle or belief.

  • cant argue with that.

  • Prophecies from the old testament that are about Jesus' birth and death that get 'fulfilled' don't mean anything. Those prophecies could have been written after Jesus died. Scholars only know so much and there is no way of telling exactly when those prophecies were made.

  • @oooooooooo1100 dude, they used something called 'Radiocarbon Dating' to prove that the original books on the prophecies about Jesus Christ were written long before the birth of Jesus Christ. The carbon dating methods used were fully acknowledged even by the famous National Geographic Society.

  • @aslimfatniggaa Though they do speak of a 'messiah' who would perform miracles, none of them made reference to Jesus or any of his disciples. Besides, 'messiah' was a term used in other religions back then too. Besides, it is not even an established fact that Jesus ever existed. In fact, there is no evidence that any reasonable historian would consider valid, in favour of his existence!

  • @aslimfatniggaa According to radiocarbon dating, the earth is millions of years old while the Bible says that the earth is thousands of years old. Because of this, most christians say that radiocarbon dating is unreliable and if that is true then it's unreliable for predicting the dates of those prophecies. Another thing that a lot of christians say is that numbers in the bible, 2000 years ago was different and should be bigger and if thats true, everything else in the bible is untrue as well.

  • @oooooooooo1100 exactly what i was just saying lol

  • @oooooooooo1100 Don't know what you mean by that (numbers 2000 years ago was different). As to predicting dates, the Bible does not do so, except the 70 year captivity for Judah exiled to Babylon, I believe - even that does not involve a "date". As to carbon dating, technologies improve with time, so it could be inaccurate. The Bible says with God, a day is like a thousand years (& vise-versa). I would posit that there is a lot more we don't know than we know, but God is truth.

  • @oooooooooo1100 i guess you've never heard of the dead sea scrolls

  • All you christians are going to the hell of the flying spaghetti monster for not worshipping him. you denied him and in doing so he will deny you in front of his lasagna father

  • ... In scientific language, intelligent design is barely what the vast majority of scientists would call a 'hypothesis,' whcih is just basically "a plausible or possible explanation." Seeing as there is so much evidence that the universe and life on earth came about by natural processes, it is not very 'plausible' which is why many don't even think of it as a hypothesis. The other problem with your argument is that your 'intelligent design' or 'watchmaker' argument (both very common)... (cont)

  • All smoke, no fire. This guy lives in a giant tub of bullshit.

  • @fdasherv why?

  • @Italianboy225 Because he was indoctrinated into the largest illogical faith based cult in the world, Christianity, so that he cant even apply logic when thinking about his religion.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 explain why it's illogical.

  • @Italianboy225 It makes a lot of assertions, for which all of the important ones have no evidence behind them. Many of its claims have been disproven by science (eg. the world was made 6000 years ago in 7 days), it claims witches exist, which they do not, and it threatens hell to those who actually use their brains to establish that it is very unlikely that the bible is correct, and therefore chose not to follow the religion. And the same to those who have never even encountered the bible.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 all interesting and legitimate questions. and i understand how from the eyes of someone who isn't a Christian would feel that way. but I really think there is a highly sensible logic behind it. At least it really clicks in my brain the way Ravi puts it all. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to shoot him an email what you told me and maybe if you read it instead of listening (cuz sometimes listening is harder than reading as it is for me actually XD) you may interpret it differently:)

  • @Italianboy225 So little of it makes sense, yet it was meant to be written (or influenced) by an omniscient, omnipotent, omni-benevolant being. Why on Earth would anyone believe in such rubbish?

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 As i said, if you read the logic instead of listening it may make sense. My echoic processing skills really aren't that good. I process things a lot better if I read it. Definitely look into it further :)

  • @Italianboy225 I agree, in that I much prefer to read than listen, but emailing Mr Zacharias would not be very productive for a number of reasons. You are aware of all these flaws in the bible though, aren't you?

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 To say there are flaws in the Bible would mean that God is flawed because the Word is God (John 1:1). So if God is flawed, like we are flawed, then that means God is a sinner. But He is not a sinner because it goes against the very nature of God, and God cannot go against his nature. We see that He has not gone against his nature because that might suggest He would not follow through with all His promises, which he has.

  • @Italianboy225 How can you claim to know God's nature? Where is your evidence? And secondly, where is your evidence that your God even exists?

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 We know God's nature because it's in His Word. And the evidence that I have using my own logic is this... Take the solar system and other functions of the universe.. Intricate and meticulous. So is a wristwatch. A wristwatch ticks so methodically and the ticking never gets off beat. Neither does our solar system. It works like a very careful and logical math equation. Now the wristwatch has a creator, and so does the universe.

  • @Italianboy225 The idea that aspects of nature (such as the solar system) are too complex to have happened by chance (or more aptly natural processes if we wish to avoid straw men) is a fallacy of argument from ignorance, or even willful ignorance. In other words, you don't know how to explain the complexity of the universe so you insert God into the gaps in your understanding. My suggestion: read a scientific book or encyclopedia that covers the natural formation of the solar system.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 can you explain to me the complexities of the universe? be careful of what you read because it's all theory. Even intelligent design (which I believe in) is theory but to say that the theory I believe in is willful ignorance and your theory is superior is ignorant of in itself. I've speculated on whether or not the universe was created by a Designer and I just happen to believe that there is because it makes sense in my head.

  • @Italianboy225 Physics and astronomy can explain the complexities of the universe. For further information you should get a masters degree in one or both of them, because I am not an expert.

In common everyday language, they are both theories. But in scientific language intelligent design is not a theory. In this case, a theory is an explanation of a set of observations that hasbeen tested and found to be well-supported byevidence, hence: the theory of evolution or the Big Bang theory... (cont)

  • @Italianboy225 .. are equally valid (actually, a more appropriate term would be 'INVALID') in being used to prove any other God that humanity has created. It can be used to try and prove any God like Yahweh (your God), Allah, Vishnu, Thor, Appollo and any other each with equal validity (or 'invalidity' - if that is a real word). So even if your argument was valid, it still doesn't prove YOUR God. There are other problems with your watchmaker/intelligent design argument if you want.... (cont)

  • @Italianboy225 .. to go into them but I think I have provided you with enough information to disprove your argument.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 Well you do realize that the Bible is self testifying... There are over 300 prophecies in the Old Testament all of which were fulfilled by Jesus Christ. Now the only way scientists try to discredit that is by discrediting the prophecies altogether. and you can't discredit history. and just as a side note and I'm trying to be completely kind and loving, i dare you to invite Jesus Christ into your heart, accept Him, and put your trust in Him as Lord and Savior (..cont)

  • @Italianboy225 and I guarantee you, if you truly invite Him into your heart, you will notice a change in your life. Give it a shot and God bless. :)

  • @Italianboy225 Sorry but I already know what being a Christian is like. I was a Christian unti I was around about 12 or 13, then I realised I was an atheist after losing my belief in the supernatural. There wasn't any change in my happiness or wellbeing at all.

What I am actually trying to debate is the accuracy of what is said in the bible. With regard to the prophecies, what you are essentially doing is using the bible to prove the bible, which is circular logic.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 how do you explain 3 nations surprise attacking 1 small nation and being defeated in 6 days? Or that a people celebrate to this day the Passover, maybe they experienced something or they must be all crazy? or how about after divorcing people getting back together and marrying after coming to Christ? or terrorists that only want to kill christians and jews after coming to Christ now loved them as their own brother? i feel sorry for u if u truly think u knew Christ

  • @eram64 1 small nation defeating 3 large ones does not prove God. That a minority of people celebrate the passover does not prove God either. Niether does divorcing people getting back together after becoming religious prove God. Niether do terrorists changing their religion and stopping their terrorist acts. If I am wrong then please explain to me how any of these occurances prove the existence of Yahweh, the Christian God of the bible.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 Do you not see that these things are humanly impossible? of course, you probably couldnt see that, sad.

  • @eram64 Explain to me how they are humanly impossible.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 Do you think that at 12 or 13 you were rational enough to make decisions of this caliber? I know from experience that I wasn't. I was practically an atheist at that time as well, solely because I couldn't understand most of the abstract concepts within Christian. Also, there is nothing 'immoral' about being Christian, in fact, America is based on these Judeo-Christian principles. Imo, it is better to die and find out you're right, than to die and find out you're wrong.

  • @kubibear Decisions are only hard when it is difficult to tell which is the right one. It is illogical to believe in God because there is no evidence to support his existence. A few years later when I became interested in religious debating and actually bothered to read the bible properly it made my rejection of God even more certain. It's full of immorral teachings and assertions that have been disproven by science. And no, you are wrong, America was founded as a strictly secular nation.

  • You're correct that America was founded as a secular nation. That wasn't my point. The moral principles of Christianity are in the Constitution, not the religious doctrine. Kant, Hobbes, Locke, Bentham, Rousseau, Descartes were around, but the founders chose Christian morality as the basis for the Constitution. It's impossible to accurately interpret the teaching from books written 3000-2000 years ago without cultural acumen. Ironically, most arguments originate from this misunderstanding.

  • @kubibear Moral principles of Christianity you say? Then why isn't "putting to death" homosexuals compulsory by law? Why isn't burning alive priests' daughters who "commit fornication"? Why isn't stoning witches to death? Or putting to death people who "blastpheme" the name of God or those who "work on the Sabbath"? I'm not buying it. Just because a minority of these princicples are the same doesn't mean what you heard from some oher creationist about America bein founded on.... (cont)

  • @kubibear ... Judaeo-Christian principles is true. America also shares a minority of principles with many other religions, some more-so than Christianity I bet. Hindus could argue just as effectively (or inneffectively) as you do, that America was founded on principles based on their own religious philosophy.

  • @Italianboy225 To people with a reasonable standard of proof. Evidence that these prophecies were even created and then later fulfilled, would have to come from sources independant of the bible itself in order to verify it. In a reasonable logical argument you can't just say "The bible says it, therefore it is." You need EVIDENCE!

  • @Italianboy225 your wristwatch argument has a fallacy. You are implying that intricacy, logic and mathematical things can only be the product of a sentient something. In this sense you are coming close to einstein's 'god' so why call it that at all?

  • @Italianboy225 The design argument is based on an incomplete analogy: because of our experience with objects, we can recognize human-designed ones, comparing for example a pile of stones and a brick wall. But to point to a designed Universe, we would need to have an experience of a range of different universes. As we only experience one, the analogy cannot be applied.

  • @Italianboy225 'To say there are flaws in the Bible would mean that God is flawed because the Word is God'. Right, here are some flaws for you. Take the resurrection of Jesus for example. On what day and at what time did Jesus die? Did he die before the passover meal was eaten as explicitly stated in John (19:14) or after the passover meal was eaten as Mark explicitly says. Did he die some time after noon as in John or at 9am as in Mark? This can go on.

  • What is the purpose of life if you die there is nothing?

Making money, stepping on other peoples backs to get the most 'thing'? have you ever found that you had enough stuff? enough money? where does it end? it's self-serving,

No one gains but himself, and truly, I tell you, you will not hear, for the person that gains all the money in the world, will also die and lest he believes, none of his gain will have any bearings on life and he will have worked for nothing at the end.

    I stand by Christ

  • Once you develop a personal relationship with Christ, scripture becomes alive. With the help on the Holy Spirit, the word begins to speak to you like never before.

  • @chiefmommy yeah that's very true!!!

  • Whether you believe or not, I think that an open minded investigation is the only way to get to the bottom of this. But you must be willing to be truly honest with yourself...or else the only person you are fooling is you.

I mean people are still fighting about a stupid story about a man sitting on a cloud with millions of fingers up his ass.....

    Just horrible shit...

  • What legitimate scholar has every said the bible was true, or that it accurately prophesized anything? This guy spent 6 minutes proving nothing. But it sounded good.

  • @myironlungca I'm sensing a bit of sarcasm, as the original comment is not "eloquently" written, but rather written in the vernacular. You speak a lot about science, what are your credentials? I have a degree in Latin and Biology. To say that "religious people are stupid" is a contradiction in itself, as my 4.0 in graduate school would indicate otherwise. Again, I stand by my original comment.

  • @Br549DVM13 a 4.0 doesnt stand for anything. it just means you can stick to something. Your level of intelligence must be judged on what you believe. If you believe there is an invisible sky dadddy despite zero evidence to back it up then your beliefs about anything must be brought into question.

  • @myironlungca Intelligence is not a measure of my beliefs, that is faith. Intelligence is a measure of knowledge and the application of said knowledge. However, if it makes you feel better to call me stupid or not intelligent because I believe in an omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent God that loves us enough to send His son to attone our sins, I will gladly bare those titles!

  • @Br549DVM13 Yeah, you are stupid. Sorry but you are.

  • @Br549DVM13 'Once you assume a creator and a plan, it makes us objects, in a cruel experiment, whereby we are created sick and commanded to be well. And over us, to supervise this, is installed a celestial dictatorship - greedy for uncritical praise from dawn until dusk and swift to punish the original sins with which it so tenderly gifted us in the very first place. However, let no one say there's no cure salvation is promised, at the low price of the surrender of your critical faculties.'

  • @FryderykFChopin Interesting post. I disagree with it entirely, but its interesting nonetheless. In scripture humans are actually made perfect, and choose to sin. And in scripture time and again God is seen offering various means to salvation until finally he comes to the ultimate measure. The one he didnt want to have to resort to but that he always knew he would. He shows infinite grace and mercy along side his incredible justice in sacrificing his son for our sins that we may know him.

  • @guitaristxcore First of all, I do not see how you can reconcile the fact that humans were made perfect but somehow became imperfect and free will doesn't cut it. God loved us so much that he insisted upon us having free will. We have free will because we have no choice but to have it. 'infinite grace and mercy along side his incredible justice'. Justice is getting what you deserve. On the Christian view because of God's mercy, you don't get what you deserve. How is that 'justice'?

  • @Br549DVM13

A religious biologist? Wow, not many of you. So how did human put saddles on dinosaurs?

  • @wbttk There are actually more of us out there than you think. Francis Collins, a leader of the Human Genome Project, was an atheist and through his research, became a Christian. The more you understand biology and the world around you, the more awe-inspiring God becomes. Most Christian scientists are shunned from academia, so it is interesting that Christians are always penned as close-minded, when obviously the scientific world is. I would imagine the answer to your question is, very carefully.

  • is it so you should not also teach evolution to the kids and spoil them with your unsubstantial theory.

  • @JEDIFOUNDATION Yeah because schools teach both creationism and evolution. Come on buddy, bad argument.
