UCLA Band plays Word Up

UCLA has the "Hollywood" sound. Like it or not, UCLA has the clean and polished sound that is appealing to recording studios. Time and time again the UCLA band has been called upon to record for Hollywood movies because we deliver clean performances. The reason UCLA has the same sound year after year, also whether you or I like it or not, is for a reason. We might not have played second fiddle to the go go dancers on the set of a recording of Tusk, but we won't let that damage our self esteem..

The UCLA band puts Berkeley to shame. Our arrangement of Sons of Westwood is far superior to the Big Zzzzz. Plus, do I have to remind you that the UCLA band has played in many more NCAA championship games than Berkeley's?

The Auburn University Marching Band also plays Word Up! at almost all of its performances. It is a HUGE favorite of the band.

UCLA's band puts on a better show on and off the field. They don't call us the "Solid Gold Sound" for nothing. usc's band is very brassy and repetitive; you can't even begin to say that our band is repetitive (they play that song over and over...I counted 45 times in 1 game). Uugh.

to reply to the tard who posted before me, first: $c is the definition of repetitive, i mean fox 5 made us say so on the news. two, they literally do not move while doing show and statistics have shown how their avg band member moves 2 total feet throughout their shows.

I love UCLA and go to all the football games, I'm not a student (yet), but their band just sucks. They are very repetitive and just aren't good. I hate to say it but USC's band blows UCLA's out of the water.
