i think the reason that amost every cop is an ass hole is besause of the way the police department trains them. they train them to be tough stubern selfish jerks. and from the cops ive seen it seems like lots of the cops out there are not there to help you, they are only out there because they can have guns, drive fast cars and get to be in shootouts and stuff.

Doc never did like cops. He got profiled in that one episode in season 2, and shot by Yokas in season 2, he always hated cops (especially Bosco)

I think Sully's response was the most accurate portrayal of any character in the entire scene and works for us all - "take a look around before you insult somebody!"

So ture, only been in EMS for 5 years and I know that already. And people always say oh well its just one guy in one department, BS Our coverage area at home had multiple municipal departments all with asshole cops. Now im in paramedic school and they are all the same way. State Troopers dont give a shit about you or any other FF/Medic on the scene, they only care about getting the highway open. And the city cops, dont get me started.

This was quite awhile ago. But one of the people I worked with had a husband on a volunteer FD. At a car accident,.a state trooper was so hot to get to the site, he nicked the rotor on the medivac helicopter. My EMT class was taught extrication by a state cop/rescue squad volunteer--arrogant as hell. All the cops I saw were jerks. But I didn't stay long. My hat's off to those who take lives in their hands--not for me. IMHO if EMT's did their jobs the way most cops do, they'd stack bodies.

Shoot, the lady isn't lying. Cops are jerks! I'm an EMT and one cop tried to give my paramedic partner a ticket. The cop said to him "you think just because you're a paramedic you think you can speed?" My friend retaliated and said "well just because you're a cop doesn't mean that you can speed whenever your ass wants to go to McDonalds" I was crying in laughter so much I couldn't get a word in. He ended up getting the ticket anyway.

And we came to the same conclusion...If you have weed on you and you happen to be driving through a bad neighborhood and a cop sees you, he will pull you over.
