Why the knickers? Looks to Fille mal gardee and stage needs brighter lighting. He should do the last phrase (dble turn combo :35) over and over to the same side just to keep the ball rolling, the rhythm says keep moving yet he stops and prepares to go to the other side. This is not a criticism of his technique, but more style, his 'coach' should know better. The worse thing about ballet dancers today is they have no rhythm, too much focus on technique.
@USABEAT Carlos Acosta is one of the most rhythmic dancers to grace the great stages of the world. The last section you are referring to while not my favorite either just happens to be the Paris Opera's version. Have you not watched Manuel Legris?
typical paris opera to make things extremely difficult with double tour to arabesque on both sides... it takes alot of skill and is very hard and he does it perfectly :P
It's the way Nureyev choreographed for his POB stagingof Don Quixotte. Terribly demanding not only for the sissonnes both sides but for the way they are demanded to be prepared. Only dancers with great great technique can do this well,
is this with the paris opera? cause the choreography looks like it is.i actually prefer this a bit more to the other don q solo posted on youtube, its also nice to see a bit of variation
Para mí, los dos mejores "BASIL, han sido BARISHNIKOV Y EL DIOS DE LA DANZA : VLADIMIR VASILIEV.

The 11th child of a Cuban truck driver.
Wasn't one of Corella's early teachers Cuban as well (Moreno perhaps)?
Despite our jackboots on their necks, they still manage to reach out to the world with art and beauty.

This isn't the original Nureyev choreography for the variation, but I'm guessing they let him modify it when he was guesting.

he looks fantastic in it,so controlled
its quite strange to think that this is nureyevs choreography.i thought he would have gone down the vagonova route a little more.its very very french
