Stand up for truth Rick! You can't please God while trying to please man. Although God loves people as they are, He doesn't save us, any of us, unless we repent. Jesus says to the murderer, homosexual, liar, etc., "Go your way and sin no more." The homosexual will be eternally separated from God, but so will the liar, coward, etc. Every one of us must repent. (1 Cor. 6:9-11) Don't throw out God's word, which is able to save our souls, so that you can live a sinful lifestyle.

You really need to get informed about what the Bible says about homosexuality...Read Genesis chapters 13 18 and 19 to understand what it's really being said. Secondly, I don't know what kind of "scholars" you are listening to (in the Discovery channel?). Most ORTHODOX Bible scholars agree that Sodomy (that act attributed to the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah) refers to widespread homosexual relationships which God himself came to punish.
