@LEVRAIVRAIZEN Practicing meditation, quieting yourself and all the whole experience that follows with that is not at all like drinking alcohol. Autosuggestion, like you have hypnotized yourself into believing you are doing something 'spiritual?"
@LEVRAIVRAIZEN We have monkey mind, but our true nature is Buddha nature. I'm not Buddhist, but I use their terminology to express my experience w/both of these natures. Meditation helps to wipe the mirror clean of dust, allowing me to see Reality.. As monkey mind is quieted & taken out of the center, Buddha nature/reality is better experienced. I chose to love and accept this Reality. This is a good path for me, and I'm very thankful and glad it is available & I'm on it.
@LEVRAIVRAIZEN Sorry but that is your noise. Listen more carefully and one hears the sound of deep wisdom. Musicians understand this. The way you play reflects your mental states. You hit the wrong notes, make the wrong noise, if you are not fully present, and therefore in a sense not there at all. Brad Warner (a zen priest and punk rock musician) writes about this in his wonderful book, Hardcore Zen, which is maybe a good way to understand zen for someofus. All good wishes, Andrew.
ive seen this tuns of times. Everytime my mind tryes to categorice him and fails. I have such a fixed program I have to judge. He is like a mirror in some way. This is a really amazing spirit. thx for the upload!
Carl Sagan said, "We are star stuff." and "a way for the cosmos to know itself."
In fact, all the atoms on earth and in our bodies came from supernova that blew up over 5 billion years ago.
Really, aren't we all just walking, talking stardust -- this cosmos become AWAKE and looking it back at itself? -- and aren't we intimately connected to it all?
enjoy the dance.
(And remember, ultimately there is nothing that separates us from all others in this wondrous mystery. Please be kind.)
This is fantastic! I recently read Shunryu Suzuki Roshi's 'Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind' and it's great to place the sound of his voice in the words I read.
"When you are not disturbed by bruejay, you know, bruejay wil come right into your heart, and you wil be a bruejay, and bruejay will be reading something."
He's saying, don't think that "the bruejay is over my roof", just let things occur as they do naturally, without reacting. Do not think that the bruejay should or should not be over your roof. The bruejay simply is. And in your zen practice, so are you. Practice is done without reacting to your surrounding, and ultimately without reacting to your own mind. See the Zen book called Huang Po: Transmission of Mind. Also see Hamsa Yoga. If you do not get Zen meditation, find another style : )
recognize the noise as a sound that already exists within you and it will remain sound. thats kinda the point hes makeing. soften the noise by understanding the noise as a potentiality within you. then all is sound. all is "peace"

It make me think about why we seek for new things, and about why we are bored by the things we have herd more than once. We want new things, for we stopped listening as soon as we start believing we know. New things are outside us, but as soon as they become known they live inside us. Sound is sound.
Noise is sound, that is being interpreted and tainted with thought, after it has entered your awareness.
And indeed... we are everything we perceive.
Everything manifests itself through our perception.
All is one.
