  • An easier and faster way for the butterr is just to heat it up in the microwave and pour it in.

That's what my mom does atleast

  • My husband has been harassing me for a cobbler and I'm so very excited to try this. Looks so easy. Great video :) it was entertaining, not boring like other cook shows!

  • You just have the prettiest teeth and smile, Liz!

Okay, I made this. The recipe I used for Self Rising flour was:

1 Cup AP flour; 1 tsp salt, and 1.5 tsp baking powder

So, I used the full cup, instead of the .75Cup SR flour, and just added a wee bit more milk. It turned out BEAUTIFUL, just like yours did! I baked it at 350 on the mid top rack for 30 minutes, then the same degree on the next to lowest rack for an add'l 20 min, foiling around the browned edges. Waiting to cool to eat.

  • @blasian67 OMG, I just did this and it was awesome!!!! It tastes really good!!!

  • Wonderful video and recipe. You are so fun and funny!

  • Thank-you. I would add cinnamom,nutmeg and vanilla.

  • Have you ever used regular canned peaches or frozen? Can you use canned peaches?

  • @steplite2 yes u can but u would need to add spices and i am not sure what spices but i will try to find out the exact spices and post them here for u. maybe someone reading this would know.

  • @blasian67 I know it might be a bit late (4 mos ago you posted to this video), BUT, I read my apple pie filling can and the only other ingredients listed besides HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP were corn starch and food coloring. No spices. Although, I added vanilla to my cobbler and it was yum! The pie filling are exhorbitant, about $4 each. Gimme a break! I will use either fresh in season or canned peaches in heavy syrup, and perhaps warm them with some vanilla and corn starch (juice first). :)

  • That's it! You're gonna be my cooking mama ! :)

I put mango and raisin in mine, it's delicious

  • can i use all purpose flour?

  • as soon as you said..........HEY YALL! I subscribed! LOL

  • Loved your video. This is the way that I have baked my peach cobbler for more than thirty years. Not, Paula Deans recipe but it was presented by guest Mary Ann Mobley, wife of then host Gary Collins; on the Philly talk show "Hour magazine". I use cake flour and two cans of peaches. I love that it can be prepared in about ten minutes. Again, thanks for your video.

  • i put vanilla and cinnamon in mine :)

  • @Reddiamonds87 Do you put the vanilla in the crust mixture

  • @MsQueen1980 yes i do,it taste good

  • What about using cinnamom and nutmeg. does the peach filling have those spices in it?

  • @steplite2 u could add alittle the cinn and nutmeg. but the peach pie filling has the spices in it i add alittle more sugar on top the last 5 mins of baking i like the hard crust on it. remember to use peach PIE filling

  • This came out beautifully the first time. Now I cook it all the time. Do you take requests? I'd love to see your rendition of Boston Creme Pie!

  • @jovispater i think i can do that

  • Do you take requests? I'd like to see some boston creme pie!

  • I knew when I heard ur voice and saw this video, that the cobbler was going to turn out great. I couldnt find the exact brand of canned peaches that u used but I used another brand with no high fructose syrup (didnt know if that was the correct kind) but I tried it anyway. The cobbler turned out GREAT!!! THANKS!!!

  • @avalanchesoul STOPPPPP she's my sister too lol

  • This was my first self made peach cobbler and it was Absolutely Delicious!!!

  • @Helives777 i am so glad u like it it was easy righttt

  • Looks great! Oh and your dog is adorable!

  • @ClassyRandomness i so love my snuggles

  • I love the way the dog is in the background watching quietly; that is too cute!

P.S. People please cook it for the least amount of time before adjusting the time. I cooked mine for 47 minutes and while it did not burn it would have been ok had I took it out in 45 minutes. Ovens vary and so does the amount of time your cobbler might take versus someone else's.Timing is very important.

  • @flynailz thank u sometimes i have to cook it longer and sometimes at mama-sans house it burns and we have the same oven

  • I made this for Xmas; I put my own spin on it and it was fabulous! I followed what Liz said for the dough. In addition to the peach pie filling, I added a can of pineapple tidbits, and a half jar of cherry's (any kind will do). I cooked it according to Liz's instructions and voila...my husband named it "peach cobbler surprise" You get such a pleasant, pallet, pleasing shock when you taste the pineapple and cherries. Next time I'll put cinnamon & brown sugar on top of the pie filling.

  • @flynailz sounds greattt i will try that too love u

  • I'm making it right now! I hope it turns out well!!!! I'll let you know!

  • aaah! that looks like heaven this is the cutest vid ever

  • @DearestBecky 350

  • It looks great.. We make it just about the same

  • i wasn't completely sure about this recipe at the begining becuase i thought the dough stuff and the peach would be two separate layers byt the end result looks fab. thanks ssso much for you recipe i can't wait to try it.

    Meera

PS. did the peaches come in a syrup or juice? if i use canned paches i just want to make sure i don't end up making it too liquidy so that it wount cook. thanks

  • @MeeraRShah i used pie filling can peaches in heavy syrup

  • Thank god for your recipe. I have been spending to much money buying the crust already made to make a big pan. Your recipe really saves money. I am having a bb-q next week and I will do a small tester one. Then make the big one for the party. Thanks again! I'm making one now. I used can peaches that I had and added ingredients to thicken.

Shit, I don't know what I did wrong. We all got a laugh at of it though, and they still eating it, haha. But, it don't look know where as good as yours did.

  • Hi again Liz, I would like to ask you, can it be made with fresh peaches instead of canned, also can it be made with any fruit as well?

  • yes u can use fresh fruit(any kind) or any kind of can fruit as long as it is a pie filling

ie apples , blueberry(only 1 can ) its not as thick as the other can pie fillings ,i also have mixed 1 can of apple pie filling and 1 can of peach pie filling and it turned out great and it tasted really good.
