Wow, with a voice like that you shouldn't worry all that much about "performance" or you may ruin it by looking fake. I certainly "feel" the music through your voice, is not ALL about visuals. However, if you're gonna perform, dress for the part, that happy shirt and jeans is good for Beach Boys covers not for soft rock songs.

I want to make another comment about the movement.. movement is great IF it's from feeling the song.. if it looks forced just to enhance the performance, that's not good. So.. move with feeling but don't force anything.. musically and vocally I think you're terrific!

Your breathing needs a little polishing to make your delivery a little more seamless and to take some stress off of your vocal cords. Some work with a vocal coach can help you with that.

Also, sing with more conviction, like conveying the lyrics is the most important thing in the world.

I don't have an issue with how you looked for this video, but do remember that if you start playing out that it is show business and image is important. So dress accordingly in that context.

Hey thanks. :) This video was a dry run, my first singing of the day. I usually do practise more before doing a video but I was pushed for time and really wanted to do this one. Incidentally, I only learned this song the day before, so it's not too bad. :p

I had a better outfit on the day before, actually. Should have kept it for this video. I am thinking about all these things now in preparation for any audition that I would be going for. Your comments help. :)

well there's certainly nothing wrong with your singiing and playing, they're both great! personally, I like standing still and not so much moving around, and I like a little darker, more rock look.. or a long flowing dress would be nice, low v cut wouldn't hurt.. hey, you asked :) so, your skills are great, fine tune the look a little and whoa baby! :)

Thanks for yer advice. :) I tried to be a bit more animated and not look like a statue lol. I'll try another song but with just standing still and see how that goes. :)
