@djmbjork I know what i'm talking abt because my dad is a doctor. When someone breaks your neck it cannot be healed. If your neck becomes badly bruised or Fractured; whereas you need to wear a brace to help keep it in place, thts a different story. But if you actually BREAK your neck or Back (spine) it cannot be healed. The Spine is much different from the neck though. You can injure your spine badly and it can be treated but it will affect the way you walk, stand or keep you from walking period

@djmbjork okay. If you snap your neck and it serves as a damage to the alignment of your spinal cord, it is very hard to fix. In some cases people pass out or die. It really depends on the situation. I know this not only from my father, but because iam almost training to be a doctor like my dad. I learned about this a few months back. You dnt have to believe me, but you could ask your doctor if you want.

The sad truth is that I know this guy. We were on the same team for a while and he used to talk about how he "takes it as an insult" if girls ask for spotters when stunting with him. Let's hope he learned a lesson here. Currently he stunts for the Portland Trailblazers. Go figure.

What's worse is that the ridiculous response (or lack thereof) to this accident is all too commonplace in cheerleading. An alarming number of coaches aren't even cpr certified or have first aid kits.
