The lefty/righty thing is not such a big deal. I learned long ago to manipulate and shoot my "real" P220 lefty and it's not impossible to figure out (always practice with both hands boys and girls!). Same with my newer "real" P229. Can't wait to get a couple of these M226's for myself and my son!

@PPShbomb well the hammer on an airsoft gun doesnt have to hit a firing pin (like it would in real guns) so it would make sense for the hammer spring to be weak

ive shot both the real 226 and the 229 personally ill keep my 1911 but if i had to choose id pick the 229 because the frame is a better fit for larger hands and it looks a hell of a lot better in stainless than the 226 does just sayn

Also - you do have to consider trigger pull, as well as volume of the shot. And why buy a high flow valve? They don't improve anything, the only good they are for is a replacement for a blown valve.
@smallpaul1995 I mean the actual production m226 came out years ago ready to buy. I found this Amazon.com, FoxAirsoft, Airsoft Megastore, and a Sears internet store. This thing has been out for a while for people to just grab.
@smallpaul1995 What I think happened was KWA only created these in limited numbers for law enforcement only, but a few airsoft stores got hold of them. Now KWA officially claims the gun can be sold to the common people, though it could have been obtained long ago, but in fewer numbers.

@ZombiePeppers Yes, by thousands. Firstly, the metal is built with much more precision, it looks more realistic. Secondly, the metal is somewhere in between steel and aluminum in durability. Thirdly, it doesn't leak. Fourthly, it shoots in colder weather. The cybergun is an overpriced, hollow, primitively designed aluminum disposable. It works, but it isn't a quality gun. Cybergun does have the advantage of having a co2 version and licensing though. Don't judge guns by power, judge the quality
i don't like p226's. i don't know why. i like all sig guns except the pistols. pistol wise, i either like revolvers, glocks, 1911, and thats about it. but whatever suits your taste, i'm not putting anything down

ive shot both the real 226 and the 229 personally ill keep my 1911 but if i had to choose id pick the 229 because the frame is a better fit for larger hands and it looks a hell of a lot better in stainless than the 226 does just sayn

Also - you do have to consider trigger pull, as well as volume of the shot. And why buy a high flow valve? They don't improve anything, the only good they are for is a replacement for a blown valve.

@smallpaul1995 I mean the actual production m226 came out years ago ready to buy. I found this Amazon.com, FoxAirsoft, Airsoft Megastore, and a Sears internet store. This thing has been out for a while for people to just grab.

@smallpaul1995 What I think happened was KWA only created these in limited numbers for law enforcement only, but a few airsoft stores got hold of them. Now KWA officially claims the gun can be sold to the common people, though it could have been obtained long ago, but in fewer numbers.

That this is about japan legal especially if using 134a gas instead of green gas. Would be neat to use, though with all of the other options by other companies I do not know.

@kuribo1 The KWA is the best option. If you really want, no harm is done with a Tanaka HW railed version, but it just isn't as reliable.

Ok let's clear this up... the KWA M226 PTP has been out before... therefore it may not be a new release BUT this is their 2nd production. It is kind of like glocks.. 1st Gen, 2nd Gen, etc.

@ZombiePeppers Yes, by thousands. Firstly, the metal is built with much more precision, it looks more realistic. Secondly, the metal is somewhere in between steel and aluminum in durability. Thirdly, it doesn't leak. Fourthly, it shoots in colder weather. The cybergun is an overpriced, hollow, primitively designed aluminum disposable. It works, but it isn't a quality gun. Cybergun does have the advantage of having a co2 version and licensing though. Don't judge guns by power, judge the quality

i don't like p226's. i don't know why. i like all sig guns except the pistols. pistol wise, i either like revolvers, glocks, 1911, and thats about it. but whatever suits your taste, i'm not putting anything down
