How to backup text messages to your Gmail on Android - SMS Backup

I feel I have loaded this app up as talked about but I get an error when I get to backup. "Login error", "Please make sure to enable IMAP in ur gmail settings and check username and password". "retry backup". I did both but keep getting same message. Any ideal where the problem is?????

What about picture attachments within the text? Does it back these up as well or do I have to go to each picture mail attachment and forward it to my gmail address? Just looking for an easier way. Thanks for posting.

Does the email in Gmail also store the date and time? Are the backup emails by contact name or is it a dump of all txt messages by time/date?
