  • nice review!

  • is this the hadley large or small?

  • Can the small version hold 13 laptop? How do you like it when u use it as a regular bag?

  • I want this bag but damn its expensive!! :l

  • Where do you put the tripod?

  • Is it Canvas or Fyber ?

I have a Billingham Hadley Pro, but too small for me and I will buy the large one.

  • Do you feel like its a great value bag or are you paying 200 for the brand name?

  • Can it fit A4 sized notebooks?

  • @minhkaaaaay

It should....assuming it isn't uber-thick. That's not too far off the size of my Ipad which leaves room to spare.

  • this is the same bag as Kai from digitalrev tv has

  • @MrPlaystationboy

Nope, his is the hadley small.

  • Ok, I'm sold. after months of debating (it's a lot of money), I've decide I'm gonna buy this bag. I'm also gonna get the shoulder pad. Which shoulder pad did you get? I'm not sure how thick the strap is. Is it 1.5 inches or 2 inches? Thanks again.

  • @jessplayen

    2"

  • Thanks man for the quick reply! I'm leaning on this bag over the Pro version.

  • Do you think this bag is about the same size as the Hadley Pro? I'm kind of torn on which one I want to get.

  • @MisterBokeh

I've only seen the pro in videos. I believe the Hadley Large is bigger but not by much.

  • @MisterBokeh if you go to the billingham site they have the dimensions for all there bags. the hadely large is about 2 inches wider and 2 inches taller than the hadley pro.

  • Thanks for the video! I am wondering will this large hadley fit a canon 5d with battery grip and a 24-70mm 2.8L lens on it?

  • @liuwanyang

It'll fit. The grip will make it a bit bulky if it's on it's side.

  • I think if I had to do it again I'd get the 307.....may still do it.

  • 13 inch notebook?

  • @taneli2288

I don't have one but probably. My Ipad fits with plenty of room to spare.

  • @MandrakeCigars ok thanks :)

  • can this bag fit a macbook pro 15 inch?

  • @geforceoc

I don't have one but probably. My Ipad fits with plenty of room to spare.

  • would this bag fit a dslr (no grip) + extra lens (Canon 24-70mm) and flash in the main compartment with the dividers?

  • @bacdoliljo

Yes, even if you put a second lens on the DSLR it should fit.

  • @MandrakeCigars Thanks. I actually got the gear to fit the Hadley Pro, but I'm exchanging it for the Hadley Large just for a bit of extra room. Too bad the Large doesn't have the carry handle, though... I wish these bags were a half inch or one inch deeper (fatter) and they should come with the shoulder pad, but oh well.

  • so it fits A4 then?

  • I was looking at your review on the Billingham Hadley large. I was wondering if it would fit my t2i with an attached lens and another lens in the main compartment. I know you can put it in the pockets, but they don't offer any padding.

    Thanks

  • @Ikaruga102

It should fit, depends on which two lenses.

  • ordered mine today, can't wait to get it!!

  • GREAT review man! could i just as you for a favour could you take a picture of you using the bag may be a few shots all round~ as i want to get this bag myself as well and i just want to know the rough size~ thank you so much!!!!

  • @cmhdennis

Have you ever checked out the digitalrevcom channel? Kai the presenter uses the same bag.

  • @MandrakeCigars hes using hadley original which the company have stopped making them

  • @cmhdennis

What about the Billingham bag review video from them? That's a large.

  • @MandrakeCigars He had the Hadley small on out on review, would you say that the Hadley large is a big bag for you? Will really appreciate it if you take a few shots :D thank you!

  • @cmhdennis

Will do. Visit my flickr page which uses mandrakephotography as the alias. Be aware I am not small (6'4") but I do think the bag is a good everyday size to use.

  • @MandrakeCigars cheers man! i added you on flickr~

  • @MandrakeCigars I cant find the photos or have you not upload them yet?

  • @cmhdennis

No, I haven't even had a chance to take them yet. With a house full of sick kids I probably won't have a chance until the weekend.

  • how heavy is this bag?

  • @mamaumiumi

Don't know, not heavy enough to notice it's weight especially when the gear is in there.

  • Really nice bag. I'm seriously considering getting it. I noticed you put your 7D with 70-200mm sideways. Can you put it in there pointing down or would it stick up too much?

  • @jessplayen

    No that's a big lens.

  • What is the model name of this bag? i though i heard you say large right at the end, but i thought this model was the "billingham hadley sholder bag small" ?

  • @MsBammerz

It's the Hadley Large. Looks similar to the small, just bigger.

  • I just bought a Matin Outlast II 60. I can compare it with this.

  • Is there a rear zipper pocket like on the pro?

  • Is there a rear zipper pocket like on the pro?

  • Is there a rear zipper pocket like on the pro?

  • @vng29

    No zipper.

  • will this bag fit a 17" macbook pro?

The dimensions say it doesn't but only just so I wonder if you could still ram one in there?

  • @miggyback

I would guess no but I can't prove it since I don't have one. I do have a Dell XPS 15 and that's a snug fit.

  • @MandrakeCigars k thanks anyhow.

  • is the interior green? on the b&h photos, the interior is green.

    is it just the lighting?

  • @ajwtub

    Yes, it's a dark green.

  • do u think i could take out the insert and have a couple notebooks, and a text book in it.

  • @jldr88

Probably;y but it also depends how big they are.

  • @MandrakeCigars cool

  • Congrats!! this bag will last forever.

  • does a DSLR w/ Grip fit, on vertical and horizontal?

  • @tekho

Yes, it will just be more bulky with a grip on it.

  • BTW do you have the canvas or fibrenyte material? Did you have a chance to compare both of them? Thanks!

  • @mrcsch1

No I bought online at B&H. The official description is:

"StormBlocker dual laminate, waterproof canvas "

  • I wonder , is the shoulder pad comes standard or we'll have to buy it separately ? Also can it fit 15inch macbook pro as a normal messenger bag ?

    Thanks

  • @MultiLooksee

You have to buy the shoulder pad separately. Don't know about the MBP, I don't own one. I have a small Dell Mini 10v that fits with room to spare but my big Alienware M15x will not fit.

  • I have one question, why is your bag's interior color different from other Hadley pro bags?

  • @bo178

What colors have you seen? Digitalrevcom has posted a review of some Billingham's and the internal color on their Hadley is the same as mine.

  • Nice review! Do you think that the quick release straps will wear out easily over time?

  • @mrcsch1

It can, I'll probably get something to treat the leather but if enough stress is put on it I'm sure it can start ripping. I won't keep mine closed too tight so hopefully that won't happen.
