Here is a breakdown

Tank & Stand = 1800

Sump and Pump = 500

Sand = 40

2 Koralia's in Tank = 120

Water Current. There was about 3000 GPH of water flow in the tank.

@28rampage It was not that bad. He did not like a Texas cichlid that was in there; once I removed him everything was fine.

I tried sand for a time, but the oscars pooped nice sized terds and it made the sand not nearly as nice to look at. Do you have the problem and what do you do about it? Where'd you get the sand? Nice setup!

@schreck425 The sand was standard pool filter sand. There was enough flow in the tank so there was not much settling of waste on the sand.

I would say a 150 would be too small for those fish, I had issues with my Black belt which bullied my Oscar and Texas cichlid (He killed the Texas and I had to re-home the Oscar).

Cost was roughly $2500

Great set up and I love the jags cave on the left! Setting the entrance to the side I bet helps keep aggression down since they can feel more secure and closed off. What are the tanks dimensions, 60x24x24?

Its a aqua clear aquatics with a 1200GPH pump.
