  • @bmharrison30 Nope.

  • thats soo kewl watching them kick cars! wouldnt they be a bit less hard on the tanks? assuming there filled with a dangerous/flammable/corosive product.

I like "kicking" cars on my layout sometimes but diff. is, if kicked too hard the couplers break.

  • where is it??

  • Is it just me or is the ground crew speaking french?

  • That they are

  • This is much more efficient than moving each car around with air on the cars. I LOVE kicking cars. It is a blessing from God above!!!

  • @KJinTX That it is....makes like a lot better!

  • very cool!

  • this is what you do when you dont fell like driving all the way to the wagon!!

  • this is what you do to save time

  • ya it sounds like theres a gp9 on the other end

  • Watch at the 1:39 mark of the video and you can see the back end of the tank car bounce. A little less speed perhaps...

  • Thats nothing, lol

  • They're just like the troublesome trucks from Thomas and Friends.

  • Ha Ha! That engine needed to be repainted.

  • They would hump cars like that all the time at Corunna Yard in Flint, Michigan during the 1970s. Sadly, it fell into disuse and is now long abandoned.

  • Funny !!

  • YA kicking and humping sees cars coupled at more than the allowed 4mph all the time.

  • When I kick them that is....

  • they ain't switchin eggshells

  • No more than 4, that's all

  • Don't do them too hard or the cars will buckle and split apart.

  • I highly doubt that! I've seen cuts of 7-10 cars humped at Stuart Street Yard in Hamilton. Very comical if you ask me!

  • thats really kool...thanks

  • really cool vid!...were engineers in both of those locomotives?

  • No ... just one. The engines are MU'd together so that they both do whatever the engineer does from the controlling unit.

  • Haha, whoops! Guess I should have checked your profile!

  • Some great videos here! This method is known as "Flat Switching." Used at yards where there is no hump.

  • You bet ya ... I do it for a living!

  • Although I use Beltpack most of the time!
