  • regardless of weather i like the bruins or not, that is stupid

  • I knew Frisbee. Frisbee was a friend one of mine. Young man, you are no Frisbee.

    Pauley Pavillion Overnighter 1981

  • I'm not a UCLA fan but I must admit this cheer is legit! GO PSU!!!

  • I would kill myself if I lived in Texas, I had to switch planes in Dallas one time on a flight to Florida and I almost cut my wrists. L.A. rules! Go Bruins!

  • bruins #1

  • Wait im sorry why is it called the frisbee chant?

  • YEAH! BRUINS DA BEST! I'm in high school man UCLA is my future school! GO BRUINS!

  • If I remember right, this was the game where Damien James took a dump on the floor and wiped it on the rest of the Bruins player's faces.

  • so bad ass love it

  • That's pretty weak ... to point out "losing" and "winning" team ... at TIP-OFF.

  • Wow. One of the best Ive ever seen. Sweet

  • that is freakin badass

  • go bruins!!!!!

  • i cant wait :)

  • UCLA # 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh those were the good old days!

  • My high School is going to start doing this before games now!

  • my high school does this before every game and I love it!

  • best cheer i ever heard, i wish canadian schools were more enthusiastic about their varsity teams as american universities are

  • way 2 steal the chant from ohio except they have a good chant

  • ohio????? what kind a tradition is that that cheer is from the wooden years ohio didnt start that

  • Just a couple of points: Kansas now has 5 National Championships. 2 of them came before it was called the NCAA.

  • wow, UCLA has over 2x as many?!?! danggg!

  • While the # of NCAA titles won by UCLA is remarkable, remember they were won in an era of a much smaller tournament and 1st rd byes. There is absolutely no way that Wooden, or any coach, could that streak of titles in the modern era.

Also, UCLA's hoops tradition is basically all Wooden. UCLA has had 8 coaches since Wooden retired. KU has had 8 coaches in the ENTIRE history of its program (a good measure of the sustained excellence of a program methinks).

  • We don't lack tradition, its simply measured in banners won.

But hey, KU is my 2nd fave bb team (I have lotsa family that went there), so congrats, I'm thrilled you guys won :)

  • I have to comment on UCLA fans. I found most on the Riverwalk to be a bit smug and heard a lot of "We rooting for KU, b/c we want the easier game for the title" or something to that effect.

Then during the game w/ Memphis, UCLA fans were by far the least vocal. The only time they made ANY significant noise was when directed to do the 8 clap.

Hopefully, this was just a case of students not being able to make the trip to San Antonio, b/c the team deserved better fan support.

  • well it's in the middle of the school year. At UCLA, as much as they love basketball, school DOES, in fact, come first. Unlike many other prolific programs...

  • hey,

I am a med student, so academics certainly are important to me. I had to fit in study time during the 12+hr drive and the off Sunday.

I think the fact that Westwood really wasn't a drivable distance was probably another factor. The 12+hr drive from KC was barely tolerable...

  • thats awesome
