I agree, too hot and a smaller hole would allow for more bread. I don't toast my bread first, it toasts nicely in the pan with the butter. Especially if you cooked at a slightly lower temp the bread would have time to toast in the same amount of time the egg takes to cook. You should also show yourself using the cut out, put it in the pan with the butter for a bit too and use it to sop up the yolk.
