i dont like driving any thing with earbuds in dirtbike,lawn tractor,bmxbike, just my opinion cause im so used to not doing it

sorry about the typos... i meant, keep oil level up and also meant i owned 4 suburban tractors from 60's and early 70's and also meant the kohler k series engines from them years will have same bearing knocks. its normal.

i had 4 of them..1 was 8 hp tecumseh and another was 10 hp tecumseh and, 2 were the 12 hp tecumseh engines.. i restored 2 of the 4 but, anyway, the knock on them engines is normal main bearing wear. as long as you keep oil lever up and clean oil, they will last very long time. i rebuild these engines and stuff and, never heard a cast iron tecumseh that did not have bearing knock. old wisconsins kihler (k) series and old iron briggs engines will have same knock.

my name is charlie brown from california.i have the same tractor. mine has the plow in front works good for me.i saved it from the scrap yard took it home cleaned the carb put new battery it fired right up.run's good lots of power.i love the hi/low gears. it has a rod nock but i just dont rev it to high

I have the same rod knock so I set the govonor for a lower rpm

ThaNorthFace, Thanks for making me think. This does have the Tecumseh engine. My bad I was thinking of my Cub Cadet it has the Kohler. I will fix the wording.

I have this same tractor...not sure if it's kohler engine though thought it had a tecumseh engine? it's out of commision right now have to buy some new parts.
