why are yall idiots he's cracking windows passwords that's all... Nobody is getting hacked/cracked! This is not a method that gets applied to a person, it's applied on a computer!

Say, your dad has an account on windows and he's set a password, and you wanna access his account but you don't have the pass! You crack it this way, and get the password!

the file in which the password is stored is passed in as a parameter to john-1 file.

But anyway...I'm not seeing where you found the output for what the cracked password was...I haven't been able to figure that out, I use john -single hash.txt, it says loaded 2 password hashes with no different salts, guesses 0 time 0:0:0:0 100% then some speeds then trying: ADMIN43 - ADMIN59. Is it still running, or did it not work right, or did it finish and I just can't find the output? First time cracking, BE FORGIVING.
