I'ts not the "white flag of surrender" you silly person - it's acknowledgement that we fascilitated a civil war and now find ourselves in the middle of it. I'd much rather have our folks home, alive, raising their families then home in a box.
And, yeh, politicians who do stupid things CAN be voted out - just like we did in the 2006 elections.
