I'm from the UK so you've probably got a better impression of violence in the US, but it seems to me that whilst people always claim things are getting worse, they rarely are. I think we are simply more aware of violent crime, perhaps because of increased media coverage, perhaps because of an increase in the reporting of these crimes.
What it comes down to is instead of going over seas and fighting for other people we gotta stay here in the US and fix the problems that we have...poverty, gang violence (technically its terrorism), and other problems our society has. I don't think you can ever fix things for good, but you can def. make things a lot better.

Otherwise,it is just best to back away when somebody is being belligerent towards you or call the police when somebody legally wrongs you in some way. You make a lot of sense. I would advise everyone to avoid fighting at almost all costs. The only legitimate reason to fight somebody is in self-defense or defense of another. Otherwise,it is just best to back away when somebody is being belligerent towards you or call the police when somebody legally wrongs you in some way. Attacking folks without just cause such as them looking at you funny or insulting you and yours somehow and taking the law into your own hands is just whack. Word.
