Personally,I have no problem with the series,it's done perfectly.I also don't get how you said MGS4's story is bad,that's basically impossible,considering it wrapped up the ENTIRE saga's storyline.So really,it's impossible to even say something like that unless you just really hate the series.

I swear to god, Kojima actually regressed as a writer. I was one of the two people who played Snatcher on Sega CD, and that game had an amazing story, especially for its time. The MGS also had a really good story (aside from a few minor contrivances, etc.) MGS2's story was HORRIBLE. MGS3's was also good, I just hated the bosses. MGS4's was also VERY BAD. Half of the reason is because it was a sequel to MGS2.

metal gear solid 4 is still a very good game,but it does have some problems:

1:has too much melodrama for the beauty and the beast bosses and for raiden and otakon.

2:That bitch naomi got too much screen time and she betrays you.

3:Raiden is too melodramatic,in mgs2 raiden already is melodramatic and mgs4 it has 300 times more.

4:Too many cutscenes and too much filler dialogue that bores you to sleep.

5:The game plays more like a first person shooter and less like stealth game.

I'm just saddened that the guy defending the game's awesomeness didn't really say much. But even so, I feel that majority of us here would agree, that MGS4 is one of the best games ever made and will be remembered for ages.

Don't want to sound like a technical anal freak or anything, but I stated that it was "one of the best," not "the best."

Still, even if you thought the game sucked or whatever, I think you can't deny that it was such an important game for the industry as a whole. It's a game worth remembering.

@solidkwon well anal bag is that not what they said about gta4 and really look at how that was nobody remebers it and it was not worth rembering mgs4 is not special cutscene stealth or rambo 30 cutscene 2 minute level 47 and a half cutscene 15 second portion the point is gameplay over story any day gameplay gameplay gameplay that is all that matters example borderlands left 4 dead littlebigplanet and so many more the indusrty needs to understand that story over gameplay = fail (most of the time)

@agentfire102 What do you mean, nobody remembers GTAIV. I found that game to be the most boring GTA, but that game is still very important because it was an awesome representation of Liberty City and because it showed the industry how Rockstar can improve a game tenfold through amazing DLC a la Ballad of Gay Tony.

MGS4 likewise is memorable, not only for its closing of a legendary saga but also for intense gameplay moments, especially discovering secrets in Act IV, fight vs Liquid...

I do have to agree, i didn't like this game at all, in fact it was one of my third ps3 game i ever got, and i didn't like it, everyone online is saying "it's the best game ever made, your gay if you don't like it". I'm like "FUCK YOU!"

Act 3 Sucked until you met Raging Raven. Everything before and after that was fun. But it's not as good as 1 or 3. The stealth was just not quite there and it was too much of a third person shooter. Best to worst.

Beauty and beast:They all have far too similar backstories.It felt a bit rushed,because their backstory was pretty predictable.

I also think that there could be far less weapons,and more spy stuff instead.
