Communism is a stagnated form of governance. The equality principle disallows the need for democracy. Having an elected government is seen as representing a majority and their interest creating further inequalities against the minority. Without capitalism, we would not have a resovoir of capital which the upper class provides. We wouldn't have the means to develop.

The problem with communism is that it is nearly always born out of war for example Russia during WW1, China during WW2, and Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos after the Vietnam war. Because of this they tend to already be poor before communism has begun. Even if a communist country recovers from war it usually has to put up with pressure from Europe and the USA and its trade is prevented, just look at Vietnam or N. Korea. I used to hate communism but after doing some research, I think communism is an awesome system and is better than Capitalism. However I think the only way it would truley work is if we had a government with NO corruption in it, which at this point in time is impossible :( But if the time ever comes where we have good and honest governments, I will cast my vote for communism.

Communism is a stagnated form of governance. The equality principle disallows the need for democracy. Having an elected government is seen as representing a majority and their interest creating further inequalities against the minority. Without capitalism, we would not have a resovoir of capital which the upper class provides. We wouldn't have the means to develop.

The problem with communism is that it is nearly always born out of war for example Russia during WW1, China during WW2, and Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos after the Vietnam war. Because of this they tend to already be poor before communism has begun. Even if a communist country recovers from war it usually has to put up with pressure from Europe and the USA and its trade is prevented, just look at Vietnam or N. Korea. We did again. North Korea became even more impoverished, and South Korea became wealthy by comparison.

@mlk22771 My parents lived in yugoslavia and yugoslavia stopped being communist in 2002 I have been to serbia in 2002, the health care system there was excellent, my mum got cancer here in australia and the government did not want to pay for her treatments. I know people who live in cuba and 90% of former communist countries the people voted that life was better under communism.

Because in the USSR everyone was allowed to vote but not in the USA. The rich did not want communism, because they will not be rich anymore. Communism is basically, when everyone have the same exact of money. There are no rich and no poor people. Everybody is equal. My country is really bad at economy. Wages increase by 1 Euro every year, but bills and taxes increase by 10 Euros every year. Communism will be awesome in my country, only if it will be led by good and honest leaders.

We would not be paying any more, or losing any freedoms. Communism is about economic equality, you don't steel from people and make it happen overnight it's a long process. You can have communism with any political system , republic democracy monarchy dictatorship ect. Instead of a tax for road repair why not a tax for helping the poor?
