nice subs, but i ran L7 15's for 3 years and never was impressed 100%. i heard the big hype about mtx 9500 series, so i bought 1 and couldnt belive the lows and SQ. amazing. price is higher but worth it. i have it running off of the 2,500.1 zx and it still has room for more. i was powering both L7's with it. not the mtx. i live in minnesota so right now i have it to the rockford p5002 wired to 8 ohms and it hits ridiculous! check it out. u make the choice. @smith56258

more than likely not,and if your just talking about replacing the little bose sub,id reccomend getting a sub with the same ohm rating as the original,so if you flip the stock sub over and it says 8OHM then get and 8 ohm ect ect. it wont be much louder without an external amp however,but it may sound punchier and tighter

jofa117 if you have a bose system with a subwoofer already then you most likely just have to get a wiring kit at like best buy and buy a new amp and sub then wire it into the existing headunit if it has suboutput ports. check the headunit before doing anything

im not a Certified pro, but im pretty sure you could add a sub with out changing the head unit... a non stock head unit does push out as much as a after market one

you left a coment asking for audio advice on your nissan i dont know if you still need the help or not but as far as i know you shouldnt have to change the headunit it depeneds on what your trying to do and what the headunits setup is if it has a sub already you should be able to replace onl it and not the headunit because its a new car it should have RCA input and output plugs just unplug the old sub put wirse on the new sub and run it to your head unit where the old subs wires was i think

they are dhd power cruisers 700 watts each i think they are 4 ohm but im not sure. i couldn't find much info on them so i'm not sure where they stand quality-wise with other subs. i don't know too much about this stuff in detail but i'd say i have a basic knowledge on the subject.

nice speakers i got 2 cvx 12 on a pro box i bridge the 2 speakers and made it to 1hms i got a 1600 mono class d hifonics and im hitting 151 in the last bass sound off i wasnt expecting it to hit that much but it did ima get a new better video of mine its at the shop just got sum 22s and its getting painted and decided to shace sum parts but nice system btw..

yeah once you go with a custom box, its gonna hit 10x harder, my friend has 2 15's in a 10 cubic foot box @ 35hz, and its in the high 140's.

each sub is getting 1000rms though, and has the electrical to back it up.
