just because yopu follow the game doesnt mean you should be able to get in the beta... they want people who have played many beta's and know what to do... they dont want lots of people in just yet (its only in phase 1 of 3 atm which is the closed session) soon as phase 3 starts (the open beta) then you can play :)

They want people in the closed beta that will give some feedback on glitches and other things that will help with the final release not people who just want to be in there for bragging rights and a free demo.

There will be alot of people in the beta that wont mention a single glitch and are there for a free demo. Waste of beta spots, it could of been mine!

They should have really done it partly by previous beta experience, I'm sure there are lots of people there that think beta means 'pre-release' game.

If and when the open beta comes out the numbers go up in game but the feedback goes down which tells you that there is not a lot of people who are really out to help developers and programmers fix a bug which would then make the game just that much better for when its released making it easier for everyone.

To play the game a little earlier than others is NOT a compensation for all your hard work in beta. People do not want to play a game for work and not get payed. Also, open beta is just a stress test. Nothing more, nothing less.

I am not even in the beta but I am not saying they have to be crazed machines they can have fun and play the game but seriously there is bugs that if you play long enough you notice but not say anything about it because they think its already been said or they just don't care. Open beta is mainly a stress test but it does not hurt to tell them about bugs and glitches.

I disagree. I do feel that being accepted into a closed beta is reward enough. You don't HAVE to play it constantly, you play as and when you want. If you feel undervalued, stop playing it.
