  • @HouseHoldGuy1 See the State of Michigan produced so great musicians. :-)

  • @roodbrood :P he's WAY to popular. all he does is sing along to a track.

what about all of the COMPETENT, SKILLED musicians that play in REAL bands and REAL instruments? they get no credit

  • @HouseHoldGuy1 How true mate. Well it's all about the all mighty dollar :-P Justin and other who are in the game are realy just packeging to sell stuff. The industry just to sell cars and refrigerators. They give a crap about the real art.

  • @roodbrood exactly. people are selling out left and right

  • @HouseHoldGuy1 Sad but true..

  • This is Great. I like the mellow rock too that you played in the beggining. That Gibson Marauder is great.

  • @santanaincubus Yes Sir,

The 1978 Gibson is a great axe. Feel free to check out my vid. " Mister Sinister (cowboy from hell)" Composed with a Jackson Flying Vee. I need mental help ROLF Cheers

  • Belle!

  • @headHunter241 Merci bien mon ami :-)

  • I've got a 75 Marauder. They're the ones with the 3-way pickup switch instead of that blending knob.

  • @SyrannosaurussTumo Cool Please keep it. The wood is well aged . It's a versatile guitar. Stay loud

  • i have a Yamaha AES 620. have you tryed it? its awesome :D. and btw nice guitare playing! cheers

  • @DennisDMA Thanx for the positive comment. Yes I have played with the AES 620. My good friend of over 28 years "Guitars4us" has one it's very nice. He also has the AES 920. The sound is heavy it belong to Jeff Stinco of the group Simple Plan. Rock on

  • please sell me your marauder

  • Tue the Marauder is a greate guitar for playing brutak riffs,, Check on crailist you may find one. I got this one in 1987. Cheers

  • Damn bro. Your Tony Iommi reborn! :)

    Good job!

  • LOL Thanx mate,

I love playing big brutal riffs with punch. Feel free to check out my other insanities with My Jackson Flying vee or a 1984 Ibanez Roadstar II RS525. Stay loud

  • The Gibson Marauder rules.

I got a Marauder in 1981. I still own it but it is barely playable at this point. I played it so much over the years that the frets are worn down almost flush to the neck. Mine is a dark wood body, maple neck and fretboard so it looks almost identical to yours except mine has a different pickup configuration. Like you I'd never get rid of my Marauder.

  • Yes it does,

I am pleased that you are keeping the Marauder. You canget it refretted by a luthier for about 250.00$. I had it done two years ago and it plays like new. Revive your Marauder and stay loud

  • my dad had one of those a REALLY LONG time ago. unfortunately I never got to play it while he had it. they are really sweet guitars though.

  • Yes the Marauder is quite sweet and powerfull.

What happened to your father's guitar?

  • He doesn't know whatever happened to it. It would've been great to still have it though

  • to bad that guitar kicks ass. I bought in 1986 in a pawn shop. Mant hardcore bands offered to by it. I am keeping it.

    Stay loud

  • sweet guitar. do they still make those?

  • Thanx mate,

Unfortunatly Gibson stop production of the Marauder in the late 70's Too bad bands like Mercyful Fate, Fastway and the Micheal Schenkers Group used the Marauder in the early part of their music biz. Cheers

  • Stuart Adamson of Big Country used it in the late 70s, when he was starting in his punk band The Skids, listen "The Saints Are Coming".

  • Cool I am not suprised Stuart Adamso used the Marauder. Do you have a Gibson Marauder?

    Stay loud

  • Not sadly, i was born years after it was discontinued. Gibson produce wonderful guitars but many are expensive. Adamson used the Gibson Marauder (there are 1977-79 photos in the Skids webs) until by 1980, when he began to use a Yamaha SG 2000, another great but expensive guitar.

  • thats a verry nice guitar how much was it for you?

  • Yes it a nice guitar I acquired in 1987 in a pawnsop for 325$.

It's just right for big brutal riff. Bands like Fast way ans MSG used them.

    Rock on

  • Nice and not really that expensive rock on man your doing great

  • Thanx big guy,

Check out my other insanity. I had the honour to meet Mike Wead from King Diamond and Mercyful Fate. He is a really nice guy. Cheers

  • You bet I do. No one can stop me. I will be posting a new vid this week end so check it out. I have been encouraged by Mike Wead from King Diamond and Mercyful Fate to rock on. I am on the right track. Brutaly Yours.

  • SWEET!

  • Thanx bluejeanearring,

Feel free to check my other vids. I am a big fan of Mercyful Fate, King Diamond and scadinavian mayhem. Brutaly yours

  • I love my Marauder it has a big sound. You got to know how to control it. Do you still have the SG ? Keep on rocking

  • Jeezee..... i use to have this guitar back in the late 70s. I hated this guitar...I got traded it with some effects for a mid 70s SG, boy what a big difference. The SG was a whole lot better guitar.

  • i'll beat you over the head with my Hemispheres record album. that's right nigga VINYL..................

  • You are bored Uh!! That's ok just kneel and say your prayers maybe one day you will see the light . Enjoy

  • LOL

  • Have you seen the light yet? LOL

  • not too bright are you. my channel says i did you geeky looking mother fucker you.

  • Well you have not seen the light. Be a good little Christian soldier get on your knees and pray. LOL

  • These guitars are proof Gibson is always ahead of their time, the Marauder has a great sound, but never became popular, so they were discontinued, for 5 years I have been searching for one, Does anyone know where I can find one?

  • There are still a few around. Check out smokeeater68 he owns a 1981Gibson Sonex it has apowerful sound. Happy Easter

  • thanks

  • hello. I already own a beginner/ intermediate guitar and i am looking to buy a new guitar and i was looking at strats but i found this guitar and i was wondering how much its worth and if its a decent guitar

  • Hello Paul,

The Marauder has been discontinued too bad it has a big sound and versatility. Try to get a Japanese made Fender Squire from the mid 80's they are just a good as the American one. Stay loud

  • well see i might buy this guitar off of craigslist and i was wondering if it is as good aas an american strat. oh ya the mauruader i am looking at goes for 500 and was made in 1976

  • Hi Paul,

If it is Japanese made they are very good. You can also buy an cheaper guitar that you feel comfortable with it and modify it with different pick up. Lucky you if you can get your hands on a1976 Marauder. Keep on rockin'

  • bah they are discontinued...or there are a web in which i can buy?

  • Hi,

I have bought this guitar in 1987 in a pawnshop. They are afew around but people like me don't realy wan't to sell them. The marauder has a big sound. :-) cheers

  • I like the contrasts.

  • Thanx big guy.

I can't wait to see you guys this summer. Cheers

  • This still remains your platinum hit? Do i lie?

  • LOL maybe some day. True this one is a good effort. I was pretty inspired that day.

  • Thanx big guy,

I do ok on guitar. I am not the best but I play with heart

    Stay loud

  • yeah, thats cool, dude, you know how to use guitar \m/

  • I now undestand the connection between you and buckethead.

  • LOL Buckethead is an great artist. He is a dedicated musician. He deos have a certain melancholy in his style of playing.

  • You were right, that's one sick Marauder.

  • Yes sir,

The Marauder is quite brutal. I wonder how much it worth. Stay loud

  • 7-800 tops.

  • Thanx big guy,

    I am still keeping it.

    Stay loud

  • I like it. Like the guitar! Looks like a Flying V neck though?

  • Thanx dude,

I had many sleepless nights for this one. It's a 1978 Gibson Marauder S2 all original. I love this guitar it's brutal and takes no prisoners. Brutally yours Steven

  • Hey I already commented. You are having a fart aren't you?

  • Sound is sweet and sad. I do not know what to comment? Is that your most precious guitar?

  • Hi,

It's a toss up between my modified Strat and this one they both can pack a brutal punch. Hang on to your hat I am working on something quite brutal. Loudly yours Steven

  • 8kg guitar?

  • Hi mate,

It's a 1978 Gibson Marauder S2. I have acquired it in 1987. Many harcore bands use them because of it's big brutal sound.

    Stay loud

  • Thanks!

    and, by the way!

    Nice playing!

  • LOL Thanx for the comment. I am 45 years old still ready to bring metal chaos. I will be Sweden to showcase my metal insanity.
