Both are great composers, but it is simply a fact that Zimmer is better. Howard is amazing too, this piece is awesome, but Zimmer can write both amazingly epic char-chase/spectacular-battle songs AND tragic, emotional songs like this (Inception's Time.)

Zimmer's music is getting repetitive as he is using his typical motifs and cues. Also, his music is just loud noises these days and very electronic.
