  • wtf is this shit? :D

  • whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat i don't understand where this came from....... a christmas picture book (or novel? let's clarify :) from glenn beck...... ??? ok

  • The version of this video at the SimonSchusterVideos channel calls the picture book a novel, lol!

  • Look up what Glenn did in 1990---it will shock you,

  • Oh yeah, he recovered from being an aclocolic after his mother commited suicide when he was 13. He found religion, married, and became successful. Very shocking.

  • I've seen stupid satire like that before. It didn't shock me. I'm not even shocked that you're stupid enough to believe it. You're not the first moron on the Internet.

  • This piece of crap is nothing but a rip off of THE GIFT OF THE MAGI by O. Henry.

I just read that only 19 tickets were sold in New York City, ROFL.

  • Glenn, you should be ashamed of yourself for charging your fans $20 a ticket to watch a re-run of your performance of this ridiculous book from last year. I'm glad the Harlem Gospel Choir pulled out last minute, and I'm glad NYU students protested. You are a lying pile of feces that will suck your audience's money away and leave them high and dry when all of your bright ideas fail. Bravo!

  • Glenn Beck does not spread hate, fear, or lies. He simply gives you the truth and the truth may not be full of rainbows and joyful things. But if you'd listen and take action we can fix the problems of this country that he is showing us. Glenn Beck is standing up for the truth and the truth shall set us free.

  • Dont feed the trolls plz.

PS: You're right. He doesnt spread it.

    He sells it.

Then you eat it like a boss.

  • If Glenn Beck's sweater were on fire, it would match his pants.

  • Glenn has a heart full of love, Anyone who would try to destroy his message of a second chance in life should rethink why they feel the way they do, Times are very hard and people are giving up on life. Hope may be the last straw for many. God bless and keep your chin up

  • Glenn has a heart full of love and spends his days spreading hate, fear, and lies.

    How do we explain that?

  • amen

  • i dont know the Christmas sweeter story yet but i am afraid and fed up of our gov. I cried twice today thinking about my childrens future. God bless you Glen, i feel like you care about us and try to give hope in a hopeless time

  • can't you see glenn beck is full of shit? I don't understand how you can eat the mess that comes out of his mouth?

  • @pacman2326 but i bet you can eat the pile of bull shit and vomit that came out of keith olbermanns mouth huh?

  • "I won't indoctrinate them with science & evidence based results, no!"

"I'll indoctrinate them with glorified messages of a past that no longer can be related to children, a religious message of ancient cattle slaughtering primitives in a the Middle East and some promotion of a conservative movement that doesn't really lead to acceptance & understanding of each other, but the distinct differences of 'us versus them!'"

    "Isn't that just super?"

  • I was thinking along similar lines, but you summed it up much better. Remember kids...the tilting of the Earth's axis is the reason for the season!

  • i think everyone could benefit from reading this book. it isnt a political tool ad for those absolute "anti-fox/beck" people he wrote far before joining the fox program. it is a very sincere and touching story that would benefit anyone.

  • It's about how his mom knit a christmas sweater, then killed herself because she realized what she gave birth to.

  • I hate smurfs

  • Even smurfette??!!

  • K.I.L.L. S.M.U.R.F.S.

    ;-)

  • Damn this guy is such a douche. Who eat's this bullshit?

  • What in this video is bullshit exactly? It's always so enlightening when meaningless comments like this are made.

  • Because he is attacking people like Al Gore for no reason and the "indoctrination" reference was a backhanded Obama jab. Considering he went apeshit over Obama speaking to school children when in fact he said the same thing Beck said. I think that's why people find it wrong.

  • People want to be told that they are alright the way they are. Beck just tells people that they aren't ignorant, in fact they know more then the people who actually know things about the world. Scared of Black people, Latinos and their culture? You're not a racist, you're just a patriotic American hero like during the revolutionary war, standing up for the values that made this country great!

He tells people that as America changes they don't have too, and they pay him for it.

  • Scared of black people, Latinos and their culture?

More like, our first black president is ruining the country, and illegal aliens are too.

You just don't want to see it as it is. Your use of the racist card makes your even less credible. Don't you realize that the constant "racist! racist! racist racistiracistracistracistss...ssss..!!!" barrage is now meaningless?

Get a life, and stop being a liberal sheep. You're the people who aren't color blind. You can't let your best weapon go, can you?

  • Glenn Beck said that Obama hates white people and white culture. He also said that everything Obama does is motivated by reparations and has supported the Birther movement. If you want to turn a blind eye to the latent racism of Beck's rhetoric, fine, but I'm going to call it for what it is.

I'm not play the race card because this isn't a game. Half the job of these "cultural warriors" is to disparage other people's culture, that's bigotry and you know it.

  • I know, right?

  • I hope you enjoy all that money your making, Beck. What is it, 50 million just for yelling on the radio?

  • I wonder if he'll ever write a christmas story about raping a girl in 1990.

  • Really? No suprise.

  • If he did it would be fiction just like this book.

  • Glenn Beck sure knows how to make money off of his followers. lol I'd rather my children read a book not written by someone who called the president of the United States a racist.

  • We don't have a president of the united states; we have a usurper!

  • "I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites" "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and anomosity against my mother's race". "There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself , maybe and white" Part 1 Quotes from Obama himself taken from his books.

  • "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names". "I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes that I saw in myself" Part 2 Quotes from Obama. Obama can make all of these anti white statements, but he's not a racist. Bush would have never been in office if he had made statements like this.

  • Those statements came from Obama's book, "Dreams from my Father"...yes, I've read the whole thing IN CONTEXT and I don't see how Obama's a racist. Being honest and open, he said how he dealt with having a black father and white mother; living between two races at a time when racism was more prevalent. I don't and you (unless you're mixed) don't know how it's like to live that life. How can he be racist? He was raised by his white grandparents. His black father was never there for him.

  • Do you also think as Kanya West that Bush is a racist because he hates black people? This was a popular sentiment even though the black mayor did nothing to evacuate the people or N.O. along with the ignorant governor. Was Mayor Nagin a racist because he wanted chocolate people back. If a white mayor stated that he wanted his town to be vanilla would that be racist? Could a white person have his own TV network and call it W.E.T. and get away with it? Enquiring minds want to know.

  • What does anything you just said have to do with Obama? FYI everyone thinks Kanye is a racist after what he did to Taylor Swift. All the events you have stated happened in the past 40 years. How long have African Americans been oppressed in the United States? I don't know, I'm not white so I don't really see what blacks are "getting away with" that whites could not. There's a W.E.T, it's called MTV.

  • I don't know that Kanye West is a racist. He he mostly just a fool. Yes, Oprah, Bill Cosby, Michael Jordan...truly the oppressed. Everyone is oppressed by someone at one time or another in any nation. The truth is practically anyone living in the U.S. has it better than if they had remained in Africa. Slavery was wrong...get over it. There are no current living slaves or slaveowners in the U.S. Glenn Beck is not the only one to see Obama's anti white tendencies. Does anyone even watch MTV?

  • Don't tell me to get over it, I'm not even black. I don't see why you're signaling BET out when Hispanics get pure Spanish channels. I should have used CMT as an example instead of MTV; how do you define "white" culture? Glenn Beck says Obama hates white culture, what does that even mean? Excluding European culture, it's mostly just southern country. If Obama's so "anti-white" he'd have no whites working on his team and he wouldn't have shed a tear when his grandma died.

  • You are the one that brought up the oppressed so that's why I said to get over it. I don't care what race you are..if that's all you can come up with then it is still an issue with you. Bush had black people in his administration and they still called him a racist. Of course blacks were chastised when they worked for him though. Any black conservative is. BET is just one thing. How bout the black caucas, black history month etc. The fur would be flying if someone put in "white" where it says blk

  • Well I think telling people to "get over" slavery is a bit of a slap in the face. I don't like when blacks use that as an excuse, but the effects of the racism started with slavery are still present in society today. Whites were never killed for being white. There's also Hispanic heritage month, do you have a problem with that? Why would you need white history month? White history is all we learn in high school (European included); you never hear about the history of Asia, even less of Africa.

  • I took Afro-Asian studies when in school so it's not exactly true that you never hear about it. If we keep this thing going every race will have its own month to tell the world how great it is. All races came from the same blood so why not celebrate the human race instead of all this racial posturing on who is this and who is that. I'm sure white people have been killed for being white if you just look at crime reports and gang activity throughout the land.

  • Good for you, the majority of students in this country don't get a choice. It's unfortunate. America's a melting pot; why should the different people that live here be suppressed from expressing their unique culture? We're collective as the American people, but we're also unique because of our original ancestors and we should celebrate that. Defining American culture is hard because we are a country of immigrants; having months is wonderful in getting to know the people we share this land with.

  • If most students don't get a choice to have Afro Asian Cultures it is because of the liberal domination of most educational institutions. They are to blame for the dumbing down of this country. I wouldn't expect to go to another country and have them embrace my culture. If people come here I don't have a problem with them bringing their own culture, but they should also embrace some of the culture which caused them to emigrate here in the furst place.

  • I thought liberals were all for learning about the world. I don't see them as the cause for the dumbing down of our education; they're the ones funding it most of the time while conservatives cut money from education. Of course you wouldn't expect any other country to embrace your culture, that's what's SO GOOD about America! So many people are accepted here, and not forced to conform to some particular mindset. Again, defining American culture is hard; how would you even define it?

  • One thing that I have to give you credit for is your attitude. Though we probably won't come to agreement on the issues I am impressed that as an Obama supporter that you can converse without cussing and name calling. It is a rarity from most other discussions that I have had on youtube in the past. I will help you define American Culture. American Culture=freedom, liberty, pursuit of happiness, pursuit to become the best person that you can be. Obama=the opposite of all of these.

  • Thanks. I'm always like this. I hate those who resort to name calling; which I've seen from both sides of any debate, it's never just one side. If that's your definition of American culture, I see everyone currently living in this country conforming to American culture. I see these words more as a philosophical concept, and the foundation of our country, than a "culture"; I wouldn't be able to define our culture that easily. You're right about one thing, I'm not going to agree with you on Obama.

  • Oh, and to add on, I don't think Bush is a racist. Yes, they still called him a racist though, just like you call Obama a racist.

  • I still think people need to get over slavery. Again, it was wrong and what's done is done. Are we gonna be giving reparations 1,000 years from now because we have those that want to continually remind people of something that happened 1200 years ago? If Glenn Beck wants to call Obama a racist then I believe there is enough evidence to support that. You stand up for all his comments in his book, but if Bush or any white person made similar comments they would have no political future.

  • Remember that segregation, KKK activity, and discrimination was widely accepted by mainstream America not too long ago. I see reparations as compensation for that. 30 years from now, yeah, that's a reasonable amount of time past the 20th century to let it go. I stand up for his comments because, again, we don't know what it was like to live on a racial line. What kind of racial, self-identity problems did Bush deal with? You talk like all blacks shouldn't talk about their racial struggles.

  • Segregation, KKK and discrimination is still here and will not go away. With that being said, to have some time line 30 years from now for compensation is silly. Money will not solve the injustices of the past because it will never be enough. Again, there is no slave or slave owner that is still alive today. So because I am from German descent I should have self identity problems. Maybe I should be making comments about Jewish people in my next book. Y R making excuses for the Obamanation.

  • Why won't it go away? Because feelings of racism get passed on mentally through the family, generation through generation. No law can stop this. So instead of forcing all cultures to conform to us, we should integrate. When there's a blending of race and culture, people become more open and lose the stereotypes that they once held. If you don't identify yourself as German, you don't have a self-identity problem. I'm not making excuses, I'm trying to put myself in his shoes.

  • People like Glenn Beck are a real inspiration. He shows how you can lift yourself up and begin a new path in life.

  • He's pure.

  • Beck thinks his listeners are racist, violent goons. Check the disclaimer for his video contest:

"No content which is abusive or harassing towards any individual or group of individuals regarding race, sex, religion, creed, national origin, age, disability, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation or any legally protected classification. Specifically this includes, but is not limited to, epithets or slurs (such as the N word), threats, intimidations, or hostile acts."

  • Any contest would have this. You have to state that you will exclude such content if you plan on excluding it.

  • You will find that almost any where when participating in contests.

  • why hasn't glenn denied the rape and murder of that girl in the 90s? what else is he hiding?

  • Thank you for being an inspiration to all of us who continue to try to live up to what is expected, fully knowing that we are, indeed, imperfect and will often stumble. Glenn loves America and I am one of those people who 'follows him' in trying to 'refound' our country before it is too late! I will NOT allow liberals such as those who have posted such hateful comments on this video succeed in destroying our country! Thank you, Glenn.

  • i used to like you, glen, because you're not a liberal, homo-loving, p.c., white-guilt feeling, self-hating.... well, you know, the "modern" morally bankrupt american

    you are the antithesis

you are the dogma-spewing, holy-rolling, promise-without-risk making neophyte with just enough brains and experience to influence the morally bankrupt but not really progress ethics, religion or spirituality.

you are the walt disney of morality.

you are neither real nor profound. you belong on sesame st.

  • Trying to wear the "Mormon" label when you so clearly betray its basic precepts by spewing your hate makes it clear something else is on the table here. The moral message of a personal life story is much more powerful than a fairy tale or the angry rantings of a nominal "Mormon" peddling un-Christlike behavior.

And you have no clue as to what Beck does with those earnings--to be honest, it's none of your business. I'll gladly pay for books that teach morals to my children. You can buy the rest.

  • 1) when "hate" is the label used for "truth" and "reality" it's a sad, sad world.... wait, it IS that way! Truth - the economy is crap... what guys like you wanna hear - the recession is over

    2) The moral message of life is NOT "good things happen to good people"

    3) The heart of Christ-like behavior is honesty "and the truth shall set you free"

    4) Beck spends it on Beck

    5) You buy books that teach bull-crap fairy-tails to your kids. Tell 'em Santa is real too! Santa, Jesus, the EB... confuse!

  • Anger and emotional insults are very unlikely to lead to "the truth." My guess is that they hurt your chances of discovering it.

  • Does anybody else think Glenn's ear lobes are sexy?.....isn't it cute when they jiggle when he moves his head....

  • GLENN IS SO SEXY.

  • Exposing kids to Glenn Beck is like exposing virgins to the Jerry Springer show.

  • I am sick of all the talking heads on news TV shows that continually push people into buying their books. Beck, O'Reilly, Jane Valdez Mitchell, Nancy Grace, Hannity, etc. They need to put a BIG BANNER on the screen that says INFOMERCIAL.

  • It really is true that a gift given with love becomes almost magical---even somewhat mundane, practical ones. I LOVE coffee mugs that people give me.

  • Glen Beck standing up against the modern socially accepted rules and norms. He is taking the risk to question them. I think what he is attempting to revive is something amazing that has been lost somehow overtime. No matter how controversial it is, no matter who throws insults and digs in his past for his mistakes, he doesn't falter in those efforts to bring back the great values our parent saw everywhere in their day. If he makes a bundle doing it, he deserves every penny. Keep it up.

  • I love America. It's because we're a nation of critical thinkers. It's the only country on this planet where a ex-coked-up morning zoo hack and adult convert to Mormonism can successfully shill subpar children's books. Bravo!

I'd smell a Caldecott, but the ALA are commie ACORN SEIU bastards!

  • i'm going to get this for my four year old nephew.

  • Great Man, i think he truly puts out a good message, people are scared that a man is not afraid to say Christmas.

  • I will definitely be picking this up.

  • If I had kids I would buy it. Maybe buy it for myself?

  • Yeah right, if that quote was true then there would be multiple video sources for it, provide a link or get a clue.

  • But, Glenn! It is controversial! You used the word "Christmas"!

    Hehe. I'm sure it's great.

  • Love you, Glenn! Keep up the good work! We're all here to support you!

  • @Odonnolly You're white, right?
