If someone will bitch at WWE for using the initials WWF they'll bitch if 4Kids stayed true to the Saviour Star Dragon or Red Demons Dragon. I personally think they should've but u'd get some religious morons who would bitch that the card game is promoting satanic cults.

Seeing as there are fan-boys on this video forcing their opinion, I figure I might do the same. I enjoy the Dub Version far more than I did the sub. The story is inconsequential to me as for me, the show is about the card game, not the characters (though they are excellent auxiliaries). 2nd of all, I've always felt soundtracks are far better when the songs DO NOT contain words. To this end I found the jap-OST iritating at best. This song has so much energy and spirit for a summoning. I love it.

@fj0823 They have different materials to be censored. Yugioh is marketed for kids and thus must be editted "for kids". The fact an older generation wishes to watch it is irrelevant.

If this show was truly based SOLEY for teens and above it would not have been edited to such an extreme level. 4Kids is only acting within the confinements of their TV licensing laws and the laws of the country. It is true that "YGO" is popular among teens in Japan. That does not mean it is the same here. 4Kids are not the ones to blame here.

Just that 4Kids is operating within the confines of the law in which the show has to fall for it to be legally aired. 4Kids only follow the law. The law-makers are ones who are responsible for the editing of this show.

Understand that I stand by my statement that 4kids is following the law to the letter. Without censorship laws, there would be no legal reason for 4kids to edit how they have done. I agree, some things they have edited out was over-doing it. But you have to understand, when a large proportion of children are watching a show (which they are, you cannot deny that) they have to edit the show accordingly else all would happen is the show would be canceled due to parental complaints. It has happened.

@m3g4dr1 I won't blame censorship laws, as many other series are really well done and targeted correctly(FMA,EVA), the problem lies in 4kids and their higher ups. the "A show gets classified first and then censored" falls flat when you see One Piece or Shaman King, only a complete retard would classify those as kids shows, and edit them to dum down their plot...hell rewritting the entire plot!, They just do that to get to sell toys, and their CEO even admitted doing so...Get your facts right.

@gohanluigi123 well i watch the dub series bc im greek and dyslexic. it is really hard for me to watch the images and hear japanese while i have to read the english subs.

also you can see the fact that im dyslexic just by the way i type. it is hard for me to translate what i am thinking from greek to english while trying to find the right keys on my keyboard

Why can't 4Kids just stay the hell off such an awesome series, and let someone else take it then? Just because they had the original doesn't mean someone else can't take this series. Shouldn't they have lost their chance after they stopped GX a full season without ever continuing? I do like this one particular track though, not as much as the jap versions of Yusei Battle though.

@gohanluigi123 I agree they censor the show too much. e.g. the refusal to say the word "death" and "kill" when it's clearly the motive, but honestly, i feel 5D's is the better dub of them all, as in they did a better job on 5D's than they did on GX or TOS. Perhaps it was a better story to work with or maybe i just prefer the premise of 5D's. But to me 5D's Dub was the better choice,

@gohanluigi123 I've watched both the subbed and the dubbed episode, they're different but honestly, I prefer the dub, purely because i get more from watching the show than reading the subtitles. Dubs to me are just more watchable than their Subbed counterparts for this reason. 4Kids americanised it to suit the american audience, the only way they "ruined" it is by toning down some of the more adult themes. Personally, if you don't like the dubs, watch the subs and stop arguing over it.

Personally I don't see any errors in the dub I think it's great and the japs made it for japs not for us but subbers came in 4kids just translated it and changed the music. Maybe censoring sucks but it violates 4-KIDS- name really I wish they did animes uncensored and 4kids were 4teens. =P
