i dont think yu r able to get that "strat sound "with a "tele'! my point was ...everyone talks about the "twang "..on a tele ..well..that comes fromj the "bridge "pick-up. to me ..the strat "sound '..is that "2nd. position ..that sets it apart from all guitars ... my opinion..after playing about 55 years !

@gittar1 my favourite part of a tele neck pickup is that it sounds the way a strat is supposed to sound..maybe its just me but i dont think i've ever got a nice sound from a strat ;-)

whats the deal with the NECK PICK-UP ?? everyone seems hung up on it !! the bridge pickup on a telecaster is the one with ..CHARACTER !!

Just picked one of these guitars up. More of a Telecaster than any Fender I've ever owned! It is as close as most folks will ever get to having a pre CBS tele. Keep rocking young man!!
