Simply colossal, better than both Rubinstein and Horowitz. The only performance on
a par with this is the legendary recording Richter made with Erich Leinsdorf and the Chicago Symphony in 1960, which is truly the Mount Everest of all Brahms B-flat concerto renditions.

@MISHA1119 NO. the only equally or better performance is Arrau's. Although i heard Alicia play this concerto live, and she was exceptional, FANTASTIC

I think this performance is much better than the Berlin RSO /Eugen Jochum, and the sound is better too. Previn is Alicia's favorite coductor.
I hope this live recording would make a commercial released one day.

Wonderful!! She is certainly one of the greatest. I have been a fan of hers for the past 50 years and I had no idea that she played Brahms.
