  • can this work well with acoustic electric, or just for electric? i really wanna try this when i begin electric guitar :D it's awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice jam and jimi poster

  • Comment removed

  • Can you get a pedal for this?

  • @AwesomeIndie Yea, you can use pedals with it. It's a normal amp, albeit a small one. Just keep in mind that one of the benefits of this amp is the portability, and connecting it to pedals takes away from that.

  • good playing man

  • I appreciate this video. I have been wanting one of these little amps for a long time, but I had assumed that they didn't sound great due to their size. You definitely proved me wrong.

    Nice playing, too.

  • Awesome! I'm thinking of getting two just so I can say I've played through two amps at once :D

  • Do you think a agile-2000 les paul would sound good on it

  • ok everybody am i the only one that has the problem of it sounding like it has a fuzz tone pedal all the time?

  • Retro!

  • why did you buy it lol

  • it doesnt sound all that good if you have active pickups

  • Nice vid, man! Just bought this amp today and I love it! Thanks for showing me what else it could do!

  • Thanks for posting this, I've been thinking about getting this amp. You dialed some good tones in such a small amp. I'm getting one, thanks again.

  • will a bass sound good on it?

  • @danaxandstuff propably not :(

  • uhmmm do you know if u can attach it to ur guitar strap or ur belt, or anything?

  • @danaxandstuff

check out the vox Bass amPlug

  • Will this work for an electric violin? I'm planning on buying an electric violin and I need a cheap but efficient Amp.

  • wow, you make this little piece of crap sound good!

  • How do you think this might handle an electric violin? I'm looking for something small and inexpensive, and this one caught my eye a few days ago. I love that vintage 50's/60's look too :D

  • Can i use this for a bass guitar?? with intentions of using headphones 100% of the time?

  • Thank you for 100% positive rates! I really appreciate that! :)

  • You proved to the world that tone lies in the fingers not ultra expensive gear. Although your gear is cool!!!! Great sounds! Love that killer blues tone you get. Keep Rockin!

  • Good Demo

  • Hats off to you, TalkerWalker. It's always matter of skills and talent and not matter of equipment. You remind me, nice moment from It May Get Loud, when Jack White is playing on piece wood with one string.

  • When you're playing Lenny by SRV, roughly what settings do you have? By the way, sounds good.

  • gettin one for christmas :D

  • I have a Zoom 'Zoomfire 7010' mini-amp that blows away this piece of junk. But, for the price of $ 20.00, I guess you get what you pay for (if you're lucky).

  • when the amp is set to clean, does it still sound pretty fuzzy?

  • @MotherFudger27 If you turn it all the way up with no gain it can start barking. It's real versatile for such a tiny amp.

  • great sound and great playing dude

  • what is that from 2.07? Sorry I couldn't be bothered looking through all the comments

  • @timj41 I don't know... just a bluesy riff I played :)

  • @TalkerWalker sounded very cool,

  • Is the distortion any good?

  • Im lookin for a coil cable myself. Where did you get yours? What the manufacture?

  • @GuitarSG89 that's my homemade cable - I used cb radio cable. You can get this kind of cable on ebay propably

  • @GuitarSG89 - Fender makes this type of cable - California cable.. I believe

  • dont let me down? (beatles) lol it sounds like that from about 3:53 to 4:35

  • @Floridaboy7777 its lenny by stevie ray vaughan

  • This clip sounds great. Heh, I can't believe it is a squire through a mini-amp. A friend of mine broke my little marshall portable amp, and to be honest i wasn't thrilled with it anyway. Hopefuly I'll like the hone tone more.

  • Can i use this little amp for screamo with a $15.00 mic?

  • @TellTaleLie It's no sense I think :)

  • @TalkerWalker hehehe i used my friends danelectro mini amp whille screaming and what do you know? i scream just about as loud as the amp it self ehhehehe i should stop being so cheap

  • @TellTaleLie no because scremo is stupid and is not real music, and the only people that listen to it are psychologically disturbed losers because their parents don't love them

  • @ProdigyGuitarPlayer

    go listen to justin bieber

  • @ProdigyGuitarPlayer fuck u listenin to screamo nd other rock is a lifestyle maybe they make u listen to gay ass justin beiber ncuz they want to make u bleed from your ears u faggot

  • yup and what do you listen too?>

  • @GIjoemomma002 I listen to real music- Rock and Roll.

  • @ProdigyGuitarPlayer Actually, my parents love me very much and I listen to it because it calms me so I dont punch dumbasses like you in the face.

  • @ProdigyGuitarPlayer in not psychotic and my parents love me.

  • @ProdigyGuitarPlayer Nope, because people like to head bang, even though it permanently damages your brain cells. So kids, head bang with caution/

  • @ProdigyGuitarPlayer wow ur so stupid. You're just judging them because you think you're super cooler than them you fool.

  • @TellTaleLie NO. Learn how to scream lol. Nobody respects amp growlers. Buy the Shadows Are Security special edition by As I Lay Dying CD (20.00). It's got warmups on it. You can learn the rest on youtube.

  • Mmmm HAMbucker....

  • Thank for the review TW.Sounds great! I'm picking one up at the end of the month!

  • i wanna buy this amp but is the cable that you connect to the guitar included?

  • @linker27 No it's not included :)

  • @linker27 no only the amp and a 9 volt battery is included

  • im thinking of getting a mini amp and i want to know if these little amps can handle distortion pedals and so on. i use a danelectro cool cat fuzz v2, boss ds-1, and an electro harmonix small clone chorus. and soon my bass players big muff bass boost. ill greatly appreciate any insight. thanks.

  • This is really small amp and while adding any distortion it will sound funny. I think that there is no sense to use any pedal with this kind of amp. Drive pedals are good with bigger amps - 15W and more. Built in overdrive is enough for this amp. Have a nice day! :)

  • great tone! and sweet little amp! You wail dude!

  • Awesome sound for such a little thing! I'm thinking of getting one myself. Does that cable come with the amp, or is it one you already had? I might have to get a new cable as well, since my only one is pretty long. Awesome playing too, dude!

  • Thnx for your comment :) This my homemade cable. Honeytone comes without cable.

  • That's homemade? Awesome job, man!

  • Can you plug it into a wall jack?

  • it explodes!

  • what would happen if i plugged my bass into one of these...instant kaput?

  • No, it would be all right.

  • Yeah, maybe some fire...

  • the begining sounded cool... like an Eric Johnson clean tone

    awesome!

  • in the WC? xD

  • i got it btw[: haha now Ima find my camera and make a video response :D

  • do it... 3 months dude, do it now.

  • he propably loose his camera or... sold it and bought some beer ;)

  • Maybe... Hey i like the way u play... and the sound of the amp too... I`ll be getting one of those this month... btw, the amp needs the danelectro adapter or can use any other adapter?

  • Thnx! You can use any DC 9v adapter with same polarity: minus in centre (like almost all guitar effects and many other stuff).

  • Ty dude...

  • Anyone know if this works without a danelectro adapter? Like can I use my own adapter or will it only work with the danelectro one.

  • It will work with every 9v adapter with polarity "-" centre (like almost all guitar effects).

  • How long does one 9v battery last?

  • It depends it's a good battery or it's accu. I'm using accu 250 mAh and amp can work some about 2 hours (with headphones more). Good battery can work much longer propapbly.

  • 5*! Can You Tell Me the Amp Settings tho?:D I wanna get this [[:

  • I forgot settings but with the amp you get a small book with some settings. I always turn a guitar volume knob a little down because this small amp likes to overdrive on high volume.

  • i have this guitar, same color got it from guitar center 3 days ago.

  • good choice! That's nice sound for that money

  • lol i got one its the creamy colour :P its nice i like it :)

  • ok thx for replyin

  • do u have to get a certain type of battery with the amp

  • It's standard 9v baterry

  • does the amp have distortion

  • Of course, when you insert headphones the speaker is muted, isn't it?

  • yes!

  • did it come with that wire that you plug the guitar and the amp together with?

if not how much do those cost?...

    thanks btw i 5 strared

  • no :) that's my homemade cable (made from cb radio cable)

    thnx for 5 stars!

  • thanks for answering =]

  • Now I just bought one and I'm having troubles getting a good clean tone like in this video. Even tried all the tones in the booklet but they all sound so grainy. I'm using a Ibanez RG series guitar so I'd like to hope it isn't my guitar and it's the amp.

  • Ibanez's are known for their metal flavored guitars, an EQ pedal may solve your problem.

  • where did u get the amp for 20 bucks? i got it for 75?!?

  • on musicansfriend that amp is 19,95$ for today

  • guitarcenter

  • Very well touched. Of 1:22 to 2:00. That song is the one that you touch? Regards from Argentine

  • You can practice in the toilet? Like... inside the toilet? That's pretty awesome.

  • is it rechargeable.

IS the battery rechaergable and comes with acharger or do i need to buy a rechargeable batery and charger.

  • no it's not, you need a charger but this is not a big cost :) 9v chargers cost is low

  • great guitar style!!!thump up!!!

  • das ding is geil werd ich mir auch holen;)

  • Which amp is better? This one or the Marshall Ms-2? Thanks

  • I've heard good opinions about both. I haven't compare them so it's not easy to say.

  • Clean, the MS-2. Overdriven, the Honeytone.

But overall, I'd go with the Honeytone. As you can hear, the clean sounds from this aren't THAT bad..

  • my friend has an ms2. he hates it. either go for the ms4 or well just NOT the ms2

  • Thank You !

  • can you use this with an Effects Pedal like say the Danelectro Tune Melt??

  • you can do whatever you want

  • Clean sound. I'd like to hear how this sounds with a little Dick Dale coming out of it.

  • it only works with a 9v battery? or it comes too with an AC adater

  • It also works with all 9v AC adapters with center polarity (standard). Dano produces AC adaptors too.

  • I'm thinking of getting this but can it get as loud as say, a 30 watt or at least a ten watt? please let me know

  • Never! :) 10W is 10W and it will always be louder (if it's tube amp it can be more louder). Sometimes bigger speaker can make amp little louder but not too much. This is 1W (with 2W speaker) and it's pretty loud but not same as 10W or 5W.

  • Thank...you very much...actually, because of your video, i was convinced to buy it thanks...

  • can you give me tabs of song your playing un 2:06

  • Do Concertina by The Mars Volta. Just add a bit of flanger and you got it.

  • I heard so many good things about this amp on Guitar Center's website from those who bought it. I am planning to get this amp because it's cheap and those who experienced it said it was pretty solid. I was wondering what this amp is good for style-wise when it comes to distortion. I heard the Marshall microstack isn't getting as close 5 stars as this amp.

Hey! Once my next check comes, I will buy this amp! Because I heard good reviews on this amp. And the tone is killer awesome.

  • anyone have any recomendations

    honeytone, marshall, or fender?

  • i'm gonna buy this honeytone... look at the comments at guitar center's website... all 5!

  • comments on GC are nice. One guy wrote that's hard to get clean sound on that (it sounds like low distortion) but he forgot about volume in guitar :) it's great practice amp but fender mini twin sounds good too and it comes with two speakers

  • Wow! I need to get one of these!

  • Dose it have a metal body or plastic?

  • It's plastic but it's good lookin' and solid

  • Looks like the guitar's designed aroun the 50's percussion bass.

  • The squier 51 is sort of a hybrid of Fender instruments, as it has features from a strat, a tele and a percussion bass. Don't let the Squier name foll you, this is a pure kickass guitar with pure kickass tone and tonal diversity. It even had a 5/5 on a Total Guitar review, and costs a lot under $200, test one and you'll know: it's absolutely lovely <3

  • Yeah, it looks amazing. Gonna either get a PRS SE with soapbars or a 335 copy next though. Got my Strat and my Tele at hand already.

  • I hear you! I own a Squier 51 Tobacco Sunburst.

Have you seen the Squier mods at Fret tech? If

not,you got to see them! I also heard you can

    mod these Honeytones too.

  • squier is good for clean or crunch players,i have one,and sounds great, but in metal sucks, needs a preamp

  • Whats the song at 4:10?

  • "Lenny" Stevie Ray Vaughan

  • Thanks man

That song was haunting me....I would play it but i had no idea what it was called

    thanks again

  • that sure was great! much better than a marshall ms-2,you sure can handle a guitar;),BTW how much does this beauty live with a normal 9v battery?thanks.

  • I using 9v accu 250mAh and I can play few hours (so I recharging it twice a month). With good 9v battery it can work longer but I can't say how long without test.

  • I'm not sure which riff you mean :) but I'm not using a tabs so I can't help you with that :(

P.S. Thnx to all for nice comments!

  • JESUS! that was so fucking awesome from a Squier. I always its not the guitar but the guitarist. Dude, you made that guitar SEX! you are awesome!

  • Thnx mate for such nice comment :) I think some guitarist can do much more with this cheap but good Squiers

  • Nice tone for such a little, inexpensive amp! Especially liked your playing on "sunshine of my love" and "lenny".

    RH

  • I have one of these guys too. They sound suprisingly good.

Nice blues licks dude. Keep jamming.

  • I'm getting me one of those bad boys! Gonna play my harmonica through it and annoy the neighbours even more!!

  • when reading your title, my mind said maxi pads lol. amazing demonstration, amazing amp

  • lol. this does have amazing tone

  • thanks

  • is this amp loud cuz im thinkin of buyin it

  • last time I was playing on Dano with acoustic guitar (outside!) and it was ok on CLEAN! On drive it can be louder

I can say that is ittle louder then normal acoustic guitar

  • i have that MINI AMP. I LOVE THE BELT THING. and it does have great vintage soud like it says on the box. cool

  • I never expected something that cheap can sound that good. Got one last week, I love it.

  • I have that Hendrix poster.

  • i just got this amp it is real good for the price! What tone setting did u use to get that blues setting in the begining?

  • hi! I always use a little gain (to get dano louder) and lot of volume BUT always with guitar volume pot turned down a little

P.S. Honeytone is cool for harmonica too

  • IM soooooo going to order that from thomann's homepage! :D its a beuty!

  • You know, for $20 and it's diminutive stature, this amp has absolutely no business sounding this good. I'll be taking the plunge, for sure.
