There are lots of good strings on the market. Most people pick their strings based on the sound or the "feel" they like. I use Martin Vega medium strings and I like them very much. Banjo strings don't cost that much, though, so feel free to experiment.
great....thanks..i have been playin guitar fer goin on 30 years..taught so many people..but i just bought my first banjo and it is kinda nice to be a total greenhorn for once...i got the fingers but i am having a hard time playing "dyslexeisly"..everything is a chalenge...but i cant get foggy mountain/deliverance/cripple out of my head....i wanna learn..what should i start with...i am not kidding..where the f do you put the strap on a banjo?
