@netoamerica Gracias a Locomotion vi maravillas q hasta la llegada de la fibra optica jamas imagine volver a ver en Argentina, tales como Dance with Papa
I remember seeing this on the Encore Action Channel back in the Spring & Summer of 2002. I believe this time period is when Anime "as a whole" had its last reign on TV air-waves.
Oh. My. Gosh. I remember watching this anime back in the 90s! I was only a kindergartener back then! I didn't understand the plot at all, but I do remember how I wanted that cat-eyed man to end up with the heroine. XD
@azmariah94 I know right. I was probably around the same age as you were back then. Just curious did you see it on the Encore Action Channel? Because that's where I saw it.
Good quality! Thanks for the upload! Also, am I the only one who thinks that Blue Seed inspired the creation of Inuyasha? They do seem somewhat similar don't they?
Great Upload! Blue Seed was one of my first tastes of True anime, direct from Japan, not edited for American TV (read: edited for Kids).
I'll never forget renting the first volume of this Show from the local Video store, Freedom Video. The Anime section had a big sign that said "Not for Kids." but I talked my Grandpa into renting it for me. I watched it and was blown away and obsessed instantly. I took it back and tried another, Ghost in the Shell. The rest, as they say, is history.
Seriously YouTube has become retarded. It's got the best uploads of pretty much everything... and all people do is argue instead of watching the f###ing videos! This is te breeding place of morons, and i'm one of them (some1 will probably argue with me on this, and then there will be cake, bunch of panzies)
I lived in Japan for a while and 99.99% of J-pop songs have at least an English word in them NOT another language. Why would you need "vagueness" in a song? I think the word you were looking for is "originality" or "exoticism", which is just another way of saying "cool" because that's how they themselves perceive western music. Have you EVER picked up a J-pop CD? The majority of song titles are in ENGLISH!!!
The only song I can think of that used a foreign language other than English is "Matsuken Samba". If you know what I'm talking about, you'll agree that it doesn't fall in the "Pop" category. Here's a challenge: find me ONE J-pop song that has NO English words. Go!
That's hardly fair, since many Japanese words were derived from English and Latin roots because they came along after their language was set in stone. When someone created the Escalator, for example, they just romanized it into their language instead of making their own word for it.
I don't see a problem with it. English is mainly contrived from Latin and Greek, as is German. All languages borrow off of eachother.
I'm not talking about the fact that they replaced the word "To" with "Doa" ("door" in katakana) or "Toriniku" with "Chikkin" ("chicken" in katakana). I'm talking about long meaningless English sentences like "Mysterious Tokyo! Take it easy dangerous night. Mysterious Tokyo! Pick me up foxy night game." Nothing in your diatribe has anything to do with what I said. I don't see a problem with borrowing words from another language either. Find a different argument if you disapprove of what I said.
Maybe you should calm down, since this isn't a big deal and you're not even reading my comment correctly. I replied to a certain post of yours that says 'find ONE -pop song that has NO English words'.
I was saying that's not fair--English words are present in Japanese. You weren't being *specific* enough. That's your mistake, not mine. Don't get your panties in a bunch.
It's not that I didn't read your comment correctly; I thought you were responding to something else. And yes, that is my fault. However, telling me to "calm down" and "don't get your panties in a bunch" is a but schizophrenic: You're insulting me and telling me to calm down. So here's my response to that: go fuck yourself! Nothing I said in the comment you're referring to warrants the bullshit you wrote. You know nothing about Japanese culture as far as I can tell.
As far as you can tell? I don't know the culture because I said Japanese borrow from English (which is, in fact, true)? I KNOW NOTHING, OH GOD.
BTW, try reading those comments again before you talk crap. You sounded like we were in a debate, or something.
I didn't mean to destroy your manliness through the use of 'panties in a bunch'. It's a saying. Definition: When a person overreacts to a trifling insult or barb, or to a joke.
Don't get cute, you know you specifically used that expression (not a saying you moron. a saying is like "birds of the same feather flock together" a.k.a proverb) to piss me off. It's the same way as saying "keep your panties on" which is an expression and not a saying. And once again, you trifle over things which I already clarified: I did confirm that they in fact borrow words from other languages. Like "chikkin", or "arbaito" (part time job) which comes from Arbeiten=> german for to work.
Yes, you clarified that they borrow words, but you didn't do that in the first post that I replied to. You said to find one song without English *words*, I said that's not fair because they borrow English *words* to make their own, and now we're both in agreement that they have English-Japanese words on one side and and things like "mysterious tokyo, take it easy foxy night game" on the other.
Let's just chill. Blue Seed's a good show, okay op, silly Engrish. Done and done.
Does a Historian live through the 1800's? I'm guessing you think they must, or they're uneducated.
To answer your question: I've taken Japanese classes and have gone there a few times for a few months to visit friends.
This is all irrelevant--I tried to end the argument and you're still going on and on despite this. There's no reason to bicker. Cut it out. I'll say it again: done and done. We've got better things to do.
Dear God, not again. I hate how people keep misunderstanding what I'm saying. I wasn't trying to make you feel bad or anything like that. I was seriously curious to know if you speak Japanese and if you've been there. That's ALL!
It's only rational, if you don't let me know that you've finished fighting--be honest, your last comment sounded like it was going to lead into a debate, or something.
That said, I've taken some Japanese and went there a few times. :)
You gotta love japanese people's obsession with the west (by that I mean US culture) as they try to desperately insert nonsensical english words in the song to make it sound "cool":
Opening lyrics: "Mysterious Tokyo! Take it easy dangerous night. Mysterious Tokyo! Pick me up foxy night game." WTF???? Just so you know, I know this first hand because I've lived in Japan for a while.
I miss this kind of animation, It's hard to describe, but there's an earnest quality to it; I can see the effort in the detail. It's not like new anime, which have that glossy, photoshop look to them and are lacking in detail and character. No heart. Man, the 90's were the golden age of anime.
Yeah I found the 2nd dvd with 7 episodes on it at Suncoast as a used dvd. It was the cheapest one there, and I was like "people are crazy!" it wasn't in bad condition, just not too popular, but I bought it. Woot!
Blue Seed rules!!!! i dont think that people who does not know abaut blue seed or any other anime are stupid... that depends, because some countries dont transmit all types of anime, I am from Venezuela and i know blue seed thanks to locomotion and directv, but (here in Venezuela) populars channels like cartoon network or nick or jetix (fox kids)does not transmit all kinds of anime, just the populars ones: inuyasha, pokemon, hamtaro.. etc etc XD

Same here, I watched this 3 or 4 years ago and now I am going to rewatch it woth my parents (before I watched it alone). Aren't I good ? I can managed to convinced my busy parents to watch anime with me hohohohoh
Do you know why that is? It is because some animes are more popular than others. I have never heard of hello sandybell until not even a full week from now.
i havent heard of hello sandybell until today...im just saying...the snooty i know it all ppl dont know anything about the older stuff.thats all im saying.in my earlier comment i was directing it more towards the posers.....not ppl in general.i guess i should have been more clear huh? XP
but it was popular back when i used to watch it. it's STILL popular in my book.
So what your saying is like: people who claimed to be major anime fans but didn't know about the classic ones? Well i guess Blue seed is kind of classic now. But Hello Sandybell is like...
my mom could have watched o.O (its on the level of speed racer)
I use to be a self proclaim anime expert and this 5 year old out of no where shows up and knows more about it than i do. <.<

Yeah I found the 2nd dvd with 7 episodes on it at Suncoast as a used dvd. It was the cheapest one there, and I was like "people are crazy!" it wasn't in bad condition, just not too popular, but I bought it. Woot!

Blue Seed rules!!!! i dont think that people who does not know abaut blue seed or any other anime are stupid... that depends, because some countries dont transmit all types of anime, I am from Venezuela and i know blue seed thanks to locomotion and directv, but (here in Venezuela) populars channels like cartoon network or nick or jetix (fox kids)does not transmit all kinds of anime, just the populars ones: inuyasha, pokemon, hamtaro.. etc etc XD

Blue Seed has a video game?!
I watched this whole thing through in the 7th grade...and now I find this in the 10th grade, and I can almost still sing to it. I'm such a loser. :D

pple these days are soooo stupid......u can go up to an anime fan and ask them if they know what blue seed is....and they dont know.
ppl r so stupid
savageheart67 5 years ago
Do you know why that is? It is because some animes are more popular than others. I have never heard of hello sandybell until not even a full week from now.
And I am still learning about some animes.
tenchimuyo69 5 years ago
i havent heard of hello sandybell until today...im just saying...the snooty i know it all ppl dont know anything about the older stuff.thats all im saying.in my earlier comment i was directing it more towards the posers.....not ppl in general.i guess i should have been more clear huh? XP
but it was popular back when i used to watch it. it's STILL popular in my book.
savageheart67 5 years ago
So what your saying is like: people who claimed to be major anime fans but didn't know about the classic ones? Well i guess Blue seed is kind of classic now. But Hello Sandybell is like...
my mom could have watched o.O (its on the level of speed racer)
I use to be a self proclaim anime expert and this 5 year old out of no where shows up and knows more about it than i do. <.<
Still working on that.
tenchimuyo69 5 years ago
sad thing though.....not many ppl these days now what blue seed is.
a asked an "anime crazed no it all fan " if they knew what blue seed was....and they looked at me like i was an idiot!!!
what is it with people these days???
savageheart67 5 years ago
