Guys there is actually two types for this motorolo backflip version.One of them is the one you'r using that is the AT&T.The OTHER one is the normal motorola backflip which 'm using right now.And it is ok to me but one thing for sure,it sucks too because of the wifi that is'nt working with wep network security.

Hey folks! Don't waste your time even considering this phone. I've had one (actually on the 4th one now) for nearly two years, and it has done nothing but raise my stress level. It is PAINFULLY slow. Should a phone take upwards of 20 seconds to open contacts after the button is touched? I think not.  Also, all four I've had will crash/reboot in the middle of the night, causing that stupid AT&T 'SWOOSH' sound to play during the wee hours, waking us up. JUST SAY NO!

it sucks because its 1.5(android) people you dont upgrade your phone thats why. its an improvement if you upgrade but NOT COMPLETELY. Its faster, less glitchy, does not freeze anymore. maybe once in a while which is like once a year.

Please save your self the trouble, do NOT get this phone. It is absolutely the worst android phone available. It is incredibly slow and very unresponsive. You cannot play games or enjoy basically anything that any other android phone can do without a hitch. Use your money on something good, not something that WILL give you a CRAP load of problems. Do not get this phone. Even if at&t offers it to you for free. Pay a couple of extra dollars for an infinitely better phone. This phone is slow, has an annoyingly tiny screen, bad call quality, the camera flash is overly bright. the camera takes dissapointingly bad pictures for a 5MP camera. The phone will spontaneously restart. The internal storage is tiny. In other words, it's a terrible droid and a bad phone.

@blancalouise it is a piece of shit. im on my fourth one, it will sometimes turn off randomly, but thats not the worse thing.

it freezes like a bitch, trying to scroll down my contacts or messages is nearly impossible... the only time i can use this phone it to reply to texts and answer calls (sometimes)

recent calls dont show up.. just a black screen, message center shows well until you get to text messages, then it will either black screen or not scroll... keyboard is okay though,ifthathelps..

fyi to everyone complaining about the speed of the phone! root the phone, overclock it, install a de-blurred rom, and get launcher pro. after all that your phone should be a hell of a lot faster, and the processor will be running at 728mhz instead of 528mhz!

This phone sucks. I have it and android 2.1 is so slow on it. Games like Angry bird are unplayable, slow and, overall just sucks. The backflip also has some problems with the answering of the actual phone as it requires a slide, but the phone lags often.

@EhmmJayy Depends on how careful you are with phones. The aria is done if you drop it on a hard surface like mine did and the backflip is very sturdy. The backflip is a little slower than the aria and it has no pinch to zoom(multi touch). Backflip has a real keyboard and the screen keyboard is great too and aria has only software keyboard which is good too. Backflips camera has flash arias doe not.

small lag, the touch sensitive buttons fuck everything up ur doing, random calls,

backtracks annoying but i disabled it, battery dies in les than an hour or 2, nice size screen and great camera, great flash, great mp3, great apps and internet, and a nice feeling keyboard. so for a smart phone ill give it 3/5
