  • Anybody know if the film ever came out?

  • Imagine if he was voted gov of Cali that would of been so cool!!!!

  • Imagination is dangerous but Danger can be Fun!!

  • Leary !

  • The song is come together

  • I FIND THIS TO BE SO INFORMATIVE ABOUT MY OWN GENERATION. I WAS THERE BUT UNAWARE

  • John Lennon wrote his campaign song? I doubt "Give Peace a Chance" was written specifically for Leary. The commentary is misleading.

  • @stargate121 Lennon actually did write a song for his campaign. It went something like; "Come together right now.

Don't come tomorrow, don't come alone,

    Come together right now,

Over me." (His original campaign slogan being "Come together, join the party.") But it's true that give peace a chance wasn't written for him.

  • Mungo!

  • He's in you, in me, on all of us

  • THE Government seeks to destroy anyone who is peaceful, promotes happiness and love. FUCK YOU FEDS - YOURE ON THE WAY OUT NOW MOTHERFUCKERS. THE People want peace, freedom, happiness, prosperity NOT WAR AND FEARMONGERING LIES. FUCK YOU OBAMA, FUCK YOU FEDERAL RESERVE YOU ALL GOING TO HELL WHERE YOU CAME FROM PUNKS

  • in my opinion today's society is more destructive and psychologically harmful than any entheogen or psychedelic i've ever heard of. thousands of years of trippers, revelations and nirvana and not a problem, and look what today's shit has done in last 100 years. ha i'd say i'm one of the only few algerians who is so very proud to have housed an american fugitive psychonaut : )

  • Check out the lords of the revolution!!! A finnally well diserved documentary about leary!!!! Best leary doc ever!!!!!

  • @swamislocal1 Well i feel like i understand you. But ive went to research this a lot. And today it is known that all occuring problems from psychedelics, paranoia esquizofrenia, all comes from a reasonable line of thoughts. It's all natural psychology, Freud and stuff. The real problem is not in the drug, but in the fear that people construct in society and the way of living, always caring too much on small stuff and fearing the unexistable

  • listen: anybody who thinks leary was some kind of great man really needs to read robert greenfield's bio of leary.leary LIED constantly. he ratted out all his friends to get out of prison. he drove his 1st wife and his daughter to suicide. he stabbed everybody he knew in the back all his life. he was a lowlife evil clown and not deserving of your admiration

  • @popstone1 He ratted his "friends" out because he got their permission and it wasnt even used to arrest those "friends". Youre just talking about some bullshit the media came up with to make him look evil

  • Just goes to show you who is still in control.

All goes back to fucking religion, sin, punishment and all the people who perpetuate these old world ideals.

  • drop out !

  • 0:40 - 0:47

would love to see that moment..live... sadly, not realistic :(

  • hippy with a phd thats all

  • LSD is very nice in moderation. I have to say, I prefer mushrooms. They seem to be smoother on my system. Any thoughts?

  • @mushroomagical depends "which" acid you take... most modern acid is pumped with shit...nor a correct formula..stay by shrooms... healthier for you!

  • @AlDroog , thanks for the response. I do tend to stick with shooms...much better for me

  • @mushroomagical

yo...good decision.dont get me wrong, im not against acid, but.im against that wanna-be acid who is stuffed with any crap(these days, they give a fuck for u.then it can become really dangerous, if you find REAL LSD-25(sadly u wont) then you could consider to kick this in..but i tell you, shrooms are shrooms, and acid is acid , it will be of course stronger, more intense.. so better stay by 100% natural product like shrooms(psilos) or any other(open eyes and u find much things!)

  • @AlDroog all i gotta say is fuck ya man thats some true shit. rare thing on the 'tube haha

  • @toohyphe505

turn on, tune in and drop out ! thx haha

  • @AlDroog this is actually hella true.. if u find pure LSD PLEASE LET ME KNOW,, im no chemist and please dont quote me on this, but ive heard alot of what we get as acid today is LSA.. pumped with nasty shit to make u "trip" harder.. and sorry folks but acid shouldnt be a recreational thing more of a ceremonial thing.

  • LSD: Lucid Singularity Dharma!

  • expelled from alabama? wow what a dumbass

  • lsd liquid sex dream

  • "my plans are to work with the black panther party for the overthrow of the american government!" pure class

  • u smoke too??cause when smoking it can bring you to same state of mind of an acid trip...its like by taking acid you reach new level of "highness"...you understand what im trayna say??anyways my advise is keep clean,go out and see the nature and remember you were looking at the "true" in a young age,now you are mature and understand batter that some ppl will never accept the true about equlity and ideas like the unite of the human race

  • i took a LOT of acid wen i was like 13 tryna escape a hellish homelife. i then lost myself for a few years but all the pieces came back 2getha and things make more sense than eva. I do find it leaves questions with you that you may never answer, unlike psilocybin where i find much clarity. Anyway keep gettin flasbacks every now n then n they are disorientating mainly as they are so unpredictable. Im 20 now and need to understand more about flashbacks and how to control/prevent them. ANY INFO???

  • @spirossampson psychologist :)

  • @peleg535 I have talked to certain 'official' people but nobody seems to have a wealth of knowledge on the subject...what I don't want is this kind of thing happening at work, or at least be less astounded when it does. Problem is the subject of the flashbacks are not from MY brain, last 1 was strong imagery of war n it was as if I'd stepped on a mine I could hear children crying and gunfire - freek'd me cuz its not sumthing that's eva on my mind - so where am i flashing bak 2 if its not my trip?

  • This guy was more than just a lsd taking person.

    He was a smart man.

Came from a good school, escaped from prison, and went with the black panthers.

    This guy was tha shit!

  • Wow, I didn't realize that he was running for governer and that is why they imprisoned him. One can't help but wonder what would have happened if he had...I am awaiting his successor or reincarnation.. whichever comes first

  • Tim Leary is a hero. Our founding fathers would have been pleased.

  • leary was a complete charlaten, he just jumped on thr latest hip bandwagon and acid happened to be it. Bryan Gyson is the man who spoke the truth.

  • I love psychadelic drugs.... but honestly,,,, good thing they are illegal. people know how to use these wonderful drugs, but i would hate to drive on a road knowing it is likely that some teenage girl or boy who is also driving, and has no experience with drugs, could have a 20 strip under her tongue. I know that from taking too much lsd, things could get bad. and bad things would happen. a negotiation would be to have a province in the usa that would allow use. either tune in or out.

  • @universaImusicstudio your same argument can be applied to alcohol. pharmaceudic drugs. your point?

  • I love psychadelic drugs.... but honestly,,,, good thing they are illegal. people know how to use these wonderful drugs, but i would hate to drive on a road knowing it is likely that some teenage girl or boy who is also driving, and has no experience with drugs, could have a 20 strip under her tongue. I know that from taking too much lsd, things could get bad. and bad things would happen.

  • I had no Idea his life was so legendary! My parents are jaded inigorant loons corrupted by society!

  • ur a idiot if u think u think this is life threatening drug

bad trip or not u cant die from it

unless u got some rat poison shit

ive done plenty and ive got a manufaturing of lsd on my record i know a little about that shit

its a conspiracy drug thats why it is illegal

it opens ur mind to the true reality of the world

  • @dialaprohq you haver pish like that and say its not dangerous u wont be saying that when your in the nut house getting electro shock therepy m8 i know someone it happend too

  • God forbid people are having a good time and seeing the world for what it really is!! Fuck the government.

  • @XBudBomberX We are the government without an intrinsic constitution based upon the actuality of its formation, which is based upon our transfers of perception,

  • I wish I could go back in time to this beautiful time in U.S. history.

  • I've done more than my fair share of LSD, and every trip was associated with an up and down. Laughter, and fear. Every trip also had a dark side to it, and for anyone to ignore that while discussing their experience would be dishonest. Alot of people do stupid things on acid, and die. Most dont, but some do. It alters your state of conciousness, and disconnect's you from reality. I had a friend who went on a bad trip, and never came back. 15 years later and he's still gone. Dangerous.

  • @swamislocal1 your friend went on a trip to where ? and never came back from where ? did he disappear ?

  • @MrParombo you said "did he disappear?" No not physically, something did. The engines runnin but nobody's behind the wheel. He was one of the unfortunate ones to experiment with lsd and lose his grip on reality. I know exactly how it feels, and thank God I was fortunate enough to recover from every phsycadelic "trip" I've been on. The fact is, some people aren't, and for that reason it should not be encouraged. Tune in, turn on, "get real".

  • this is one of the best Youtube bios of Leary.

  • This man LIVED!

  • Eaten sheets. Changed my life for the better. Opened my mind the way nothing else could have. Always potential for danger but if surrounded by love its all good. Thanks Tim, Albert and Bear!

  • @DegraDeadlock

I'm not blaming anyone? I just don't think it's a good idea to just broadly tell people to take lsd. Some people have powerful experiences, but I don't think that many people are emotionally mature enough to receive the maximum benefit. At the least you want to keep leary's 8-circuit model in mind, right? You want to direct the experience creatively.

  • @Jcolinsol the goal here is not to tell everybody to take lsd but to make all psychedelic drugs legal to the public. all.

  • WTF 30 fucking years for a diime.. Fuck Republicans. I hate them with a passion, but you cant do anything about it. Just deal with it.

  • we need to bring lsd back to easy weed doesnt get to see its older cousin as much as it should

  • Well done Thank you.Love peace and revolution (STILL)

  • The only times I did acid in which I felt like I was thinking every thought I could possibly think, then let the extraneous thoughts disipate into complex, linear algorithms in which I felt like I was getting a big part of a small picture (kind of like jigsaw puzzles ) was when I bought Phish acid from friends who would buy acid from Phish family members. All of the street acid I took was too speedy and edgy. Mushooms sucked but were widely available and you could tell the dose by it's weight

  • yes. he was the most dangerous man alive wanted (5.50), dangerous to the mind controlling lizards, terrified of losing their evil grip on society.

  • @956154 your right fuck the reptilian bastards

  • ...if he would have won governor

  • Always question the source of any information you read. Essentially, the "what" isn't as important as the "why"

Why do we see mainly "BAD" news instead of neutral news?

They are trying to instill negativity into our brains so that we can be easily controlled. Humans in a state of constant confusion are easily managed and fooled.

WAKE UP PEOPLE. Take LSD and see why I have said this.

  • @falkensir

I don't think that it's responsible to just broadly tell people to take lsd.

  • @Jcolinsol why not

  • @Jcolinsol I totally agree.

  • @falkensir excellent comment! because you've justcaused meto realise where the 'why' comes from! it's th e 8th dimension that describes the Way Things Happen by its very nature.

this gives us the impression that there is a sense of "why"(as opposed to "how"), as in the source of curiosity itself

as in Fate, Gravity, Wisdom, the Goddes, Mother Earth, the Matrix, the Grand Mother, the Matriarch, Octernity, (theyre all the same thing), 8ness

  • Who´s the idiot that disliked this video?

  • How many people followed this guy into the nuthouse?

  • I love this man so much curridge, really walking his talk, and he is god looking as well

  • @Jopari444 you'll only get freaked out and paranoid if you think you'll get freaked out. it's all in your head. just try to calm yourself and have a clear mind before doing it and be around people you're comfortable with in a safe environment. try not to do it by yourself if you're not too sure about it because you'll have nothing to bring you back to reality while tripping. lsd is the only way to fly!

  • LSD should be the only drug legal to buy from shops

  • @TheLeCarlos and shrooms, or any other entheogen capable of expanding ones mind.

  • 5:30 Amazing lack of humor and imagination on the FBI's part :)

Oooh a 50+ professor that dares talk to people, he's dangerous!!!

  • @MrPinkfloydfan420 Hear hear brother, embrace teh colors :)

  • takes me back to an exciting time to be alive...the electric acid cool aid test...yee ha!

  • I'm shocked Timmy could not make it through military school!

    Lol!

  • I wish I had never taken LSD

  • @christian199212 Why would you regret that? (I'm just curious)

  • @christian199212Why? What happened, did it "fuck up" your view of reality...

  • @christian199212 mushrooms never thought of lsd. the government did.

  • He reminds me of Bob Lutz LOL

  • 2:21 look at those pupils!

  • At 2:32 you will see a woman dropping some acid. This same picture was used by TIME-LIFE BOOKS when they published "The Mind" (1964). She is seen lying down on a couch with eyeshades on. She takes off her shades and explains that her Experience was like being in a bright colored cave. I would like to see this film in its complete version. Thank you for uploading this video.

  • RIP LEARY>.

see his old interviews..he talks soo much sense..

and fuck man he was a professor at HARVARD!!!!

  • LSD as magic mushrooms and other psychedelic plants really can help people. They can change your life COMPLETELY and turn you into a real spiritual person. However, it's not for everyone. You have to be mature and smart enough to be able to re-adapt yourself to the material world once you have reached a very spiritual and high consciousness. So if you want to do it be ready. T. Leary wrote there are 3 things necessary for a good trip. 1.How u feel that day 2. Nice environment 3. Dosage.

  • @Xansmaster nothing can make you more spiritual you are spirit incarnate most of us are programmed to believe spirit is something separate all is one. psychedelics simply make you indisputably aware of this fact.

  • Leary was possibly the worst thing to have happened to the psychedelic society.

sure, a lot of his ideas were good, but he was too high profile.

  • wow! wat a dude!

  • Fuck I hate the American gov't.... soooooo damn much.

  • I purchased Timothy Leary's The Psychedelic Experience on itunes and recommend everyone to do the same. You trip WITHOUT drugs! :D takes some time though, but SOO worth it.

    DO IT. :]

  • the only reason I have ever been hurt by drugs is the fact that it was the closest I have ever felt to knowing that God existed, loved me, and wanted me to be happy, and when my friends, my family, and my society turned on me, called me stupid, evil, wrong, crazy, I felt as though I had already gone to hell. imagine I told you that your existence meant nothing at all, that your very conciousness was an apparition. you would weep. your soul would die. I will NEVER stand for hatred again.

  • lol @ 'his chemical studies"

  • Thanks!

  • 3:43 the beatles, getting better, sgt peppers

  • Nixon brands Leary the most dangerous man alive! -Holy blackened kettle, Batman.

  • @SpacedTime the irony is great like Hunter S Thompson said i don't condone drugs or alcohol to any one but hey it has hurt me

  • Well, LSD has a purpose whereas crack and heroin are purely pleasure drugs.

For what its worth, crack is much worse than heroin (pure heroin anyway) as far as the lesser of the two evils. All opiates are among the most benign drugs to body tissues of any medications used today.

Crack will turn your brain to mush, quite literally.

LSD will change the way you think about things, for open minded people I mean this in the best possible way!!

  • goddamn, Timothy Leary is a motherfucking genius

  • @CalfRopinKid With knowledge comes power. power = Threatening

  • @CalfRopinKid Richard Nixon thought Leary was then the most dangerous man in the world. I don´t think it was that simple. I think he really believed in LSD as curing the human kind. But the negative influences soon came true. I myself would never use LSD if I had a chance, The chemicals not properly studied may be dangerous. But LSD was a very interesting period anyway.

  • @FinnMove

Well, there were some scientific studies demonstrating that lsd was an effective therapy, when properly administered in a clinical setting.

Then the government banned it (and the CIA and military started experimenting with it internally). That is why Leary tried to popularize it, to undermine the government ban of scientific studies.

  • @CalfRopinKid

    totaly agree man

  • Ronald Reagan what a fuckin stiff - and that lame-ass wife of his, talk about a boring fuckin life.

  • FUCK RICHARD NIXON!!!

  • anyone know where to get some acid? i live in northern new jersey.

  • Ask the CIA lol

  • That wasn't the whole documentary btw, was it?

  • There was much much more to Leary's philosophy than that. You obviously have a preconceived notion in your head, and haven't really investigated the ideas Leary came up with during his experimental days.

  • you dont know very much about the potential of psychodelics do you, and not all drugs are just "fun" have you done lsd or mushrooms, yea well if ur not a good person and arnt completely comfortable with urself than it wont be fun at all, and when it comes to leary i think he had the right idea but he just didnt carry out his operation in the best possable way, one cant expect a nation of robots socialy conditioned since the day they were born to suddenly just change their value system

  • must say i totally disagree, i myself use "drugs" aswell, but dont see them as drugs, i see them as a way to open your mind to, like Leary said, unlock higher conciousness. Many people find religous experiances from it.

    :]]

  • to each their own. barbiedoll up there thinks everyone who doesn't agree with her view on acid is a robot. fact is though drugs make you very lazy and it distracts you. perhaps lsd or shrooms isn't the best example, but try heroine and you will see. it's arguably the fucking best drug of them all when you're high, but it doesn't open your eyes the least. and it has a major downside (the withdrawal)

  • not saying lsd or shrooms is to be compared with heroine by the way. but if you're pro-acid, how can you be against for example opiates or cocaine? and neither of those drugs have the benefits of "opening your mindset", they're just fucking great stuff. try heroine yourself and you'll see why people like it so much.

  • no disrespect bud but thats a bit of a stubid question. it is very easy to be for psychedelics put agains opiates. they're is no connection between the two. smack is a drug, i would argue that when used apropriatly LSD is not even a drug, but a chemical key that opens up the spiritual world.

  • Who's advocating use of heroin? Do you notice anyone other than yourself associating narcotics with hallucinogens / psychedelics? It's precisely this lack of discrimination (not in the pejorative sense) that makes the charge of being a robot stick. And it's sticking to you, my friend.

  • distract you from what?

  • @chrisis138 you need to educate yourself, your an embarassment to us all.

  • @mcnowski I am wrong? You tell me someone who lived a long fullfilling life on crack and I'll show you a liar.

  • I wish there was enough space here to copy the private letter you sent me, so everyone can see how utterly brainwashed you are. The truth can stand on its own, and once you get your mind back (after your done crying) humanity can use your help

  • @chrisis138 LSD is nothing like crack..research before you make snap judgments!

  • @chrisis138 Crack and LSD are very very very different substances :)

  • @jsltm888 go fuck yourself, nigger.

  • You are very wrong. Doing LSD just one time two years ago has made me a more peaceful, creative person till this day. It really could have the potential to create world peace.

  • @LysergicSour

How do you know for sure? Delusions are one of the possible side-effects.

  • @Cubicle0 Lol well before I did LSD I was a very arrogant and immature person, but now all I'm a lot more spiritually conscious, finding interests in helping people, spreading love, and general human/natural advancement. If that's just a delusion then I must not actually be typing this and therefore there's no way you could be reading this right now. Let's hope for the best.

  • I agree with LysergicSour & CalRopinKid: I grew up in the '60s and did LSD many times. I never saw anything that was really not there.....it basically just enhanced what existed and made you more aware of all things...alive or not. Some people did flip out on it but I don't think they had it together to begin with....I never had a bad experience; it opened my mind to possibilities in this world and beyond. I saw beauty and truth that was achingly honest. No facades; no lies.

  • @LysergicSour it's all relative.

  • Looks good, Jeff.

  • I wish I could have met him. :( I bet it would have changed me although I know I have been influenced by him indirectly.

  • An informative look at a fascinating personality.
