  • Hi Billy Mays here..

  • is this faster than mil-35?

  • The hind really is ugly though, and its an absolute bitch to get into the rear cockpit..

  • @Wibble199 Been in one have you?

  • @Antifaith29 Yeah, I was in a dis-used one on a Air Cadet trip I was on once. It was a bit old and the tail unit was smashed.

  • Just 40 years to copy the battle concept of the MI24 HIND

America Y U NO smart anymore?

  • i still like the hind series.. this is just an expensive copy of the hind.

  • isn't this why the russian's made the hind?

  • Mi-35 anyone? (Upgraded Mi-24). There's no new idea's or tech in this 'Battlehawk'.

  • So finally a US analogue to the Mi-24,40 years after it's introduction?

  • Жаль не выпускают такую масштабную модель.

  • im srry but im a blackhawk fan but what they r doing is kinda stupid. if they want a 50 cal on bottom of the helicopter why not callin a apache? i mean realy it kinda dumb all in all to me

  • @1521Cody This is a sales pitch for foreign sales - the buyer may not own Apache's and may not be able to afford to operate 2 different types of helicopter. It can also carry troops while performing an attack mission something an Apache can't do.

  • @kblackav8or This thing can carry 32 hellfire missiles at one time. 16 on the outside and 16 on the inside. Once the 16 are used up on the outside, it can land behind friendly lines, reload and finish off the other 16. It could possibly do that with 152 laser guided Hyrda 70s and then stay around to aim for laser guided bombs and artillery shells. and then fly back the wounded. An Apache can't do that.

  • i preferl a mil-24 hind

  • Do you accept Paypal?

  • Lol, americans must be dependent on wars...to learn from history, and awfully horny in control the world.

  • can i pay via credi card?

  • think I'd rather have a mi24 Hind gunship... just because they look so mean.. You see one pop up from behind the tree's and it gives ya chills down the spine.. and the urge to run away...

    lol

  • @Me102288 Your description reminds me of the helicopter scene in Red Dawn. LOL! But yeah they look so mean like a tank in the sky.

  • i dont care about the weapons, i want the aircraft!

  • Fuckin awesome :D

  • Jack of all trades, master of none.

  • Having flown the Sikorsky CH-53 A,D,and E models over the course of twenty six years, with 2 combat tours in Viet Nam I have nothing but total admiration for Sikorsky aircraft. Rotary wing pilots have beat each other up for years over who is the fastest, who has the most mission capabilities, who has the biggest gun[s], and of course who performed full loop with a standard military helicopter. Guys and girls, fly as many hops as you can because it ends too quick.

  • It has a slight resemblance to he Russian [Soviet] Mi24 helicopter.

  • @2084028jpo doesnt look nearly as mean..ppl run away when they see a Hind gunship.

the uh-60's look more like a fat bird with stubby lil wings lol

  • @Me102288 If you are comparing aircraft based on their appearances you certainly picked a looser in the Mi24. First the Mi24 is a poorly balanced [nose heavy]aircraft. It has a long history of faulty hydraulic and it still utilizes cables to the tail rotor.Depending on mission configuration, and taking weather conditions into consideration, the Mi24 has lift problems [needs a running start]. As for fear factor it didn't seem to scare the Afgan's. It's a BUFF.

  • @2084028jpo yep, because we all know the comanche gunships are the best in the world..

running start? lol no, it would be called a STAL if it required forward movemone to create lift... its perectly capable of hovering in one spot... poorly balanced.. with what in it? its a multirole heli,, go figure they left leeway to balance with troops or ordanance.. easily fixed anyway.. faulty hydraulics,, lol everything has a fault,Id almost expect it with that heavy a gunship,

  • Ok cool. Thanks for the knowledge.

  • Isnt it called the " direct action penetrator"? This has been around for awhile

  • @kdub40k1 No. This is a different aircraft entirely. Both adaptable but the chin mounted gun on this is a unique feature.

  • @He101A The Blackhawk is every bit as fast as any Apache. Truth be told, attack helicopters do very little "attacking" while in forward flight. The matter of which attack helicopter is faster or slower is somewhat irrelevant on the battlefield when you consider the tactics of helo gunships.

  • @He101A I disagree. The Hind is proof enough to render that idea void. It's still a dangerous aircraft despite it's age. Further, I've personally had a Hawk that was heavily loaded with a MEDEVAC kit up to about 160 knots on quite a few missions. Hawks aren't slow.

  • @He101A The Hawk is faster than the Apache and with 3 feet more rotor diameter and a stronger main transmission can out perform it in most all envelopes.

  • @desertrat6788 speed is really the last thing I'd look at in any combat vehicle, but ok.. comanche can fly sideways at 80 kph...

heard the USA was replacing all there scouts with them, a stealth scout and attack heli :-\ ha no doubt for billions..

honestly sometimes I miss the times when you just flew by and shot at yer foe with your pistol :-\

  • Can it still take off, with all this weight?

  • @mccauley404

Yes. I fly L model hawks and the added weight of this mod would put us higher in our gross weight window, but still with at least 1000lbs to spare.

  • BATTLEHAWK DOWN 2013

  • I saw this in the AIX mod for Battlefield 2.

  • how about sound system ?

  • thats is a great helicopter

  • does it come in red? :P

  • i dont see how this is a tactical advantage... when coming into a hot landing zone, sure you have your battlehawk with weaponry... but if i was the enemy, and i saw multiple aircraft such as an Ah1z viper or Ah64d apache as escorts, i would be debating, do i shoot the apache OR the blackhawk with door gunners carrying troops? what im trying to say is things work better in pairs(sniper teams, any aircraft and land vehicles) if the vehicle is compressed into one, id say your more of an easy target

  • Australia is getting rid of our blakhawks for eh90s wich make the uh60m look like the updated antique it is,though US navy made us buy romeos to replace our Bs we are only buying 24 and our navy is still getting eh90s for troop transport instead of 60S's unless the US navy finds out and brings up must be compatible garbage ,i think even texas has more freedom than Aus we should follow canadas lead and not try to be part of pax America.

  • and it still has a russian name on it!

  • @snipermakedonski Made right here in the good ol' U.S.A.

  • *yawn*

Nothing new here. The Army has been doing this for at least 20 years. I watched all the way through just to see, but there isn't. They just added recently developed avionics. This is why 60 pilots always laugh at cocksure Apache pilots, the Blackhawk is/can be the most heavily armed chopper in the US rotary fleet.

I don't understand though, why they used the Nexter 20mm, when they could/should have used the Bushmaster II 30mm.

  • I used to fly these for the Russian navy.

  • seems nice, but I think this is the new f35, seems nice but in action it sucks

  • dear santa...

  • considering the 160th SOAR has been using the UH-60 in the attack role for years, this seems like a logical evolution of the platform. If you're military has an inventory of UH-60s and a need for attack helicopters, this seems like a low cost solution while being able to maintain a parts inventory for a single airframe. I doubt the US Army would replace the Ah-64 with it, but I don't think Sikorsky is marketing it to the US as much as it is smaller countries with smaller military budgets.

  • @icepop77 This is a true statement. Sikorsky has a great contract with the US Army already. The Battlehawk is being marketed to other countries. Boeing wasn't doing so hot in the late 70s early 80s and someone had to keep their asses afloat. Kind of like Bell in the early 70s late 60s.

  • I turned this off. An idea one level short of stupid. Eisenhower's warning to beware the military/industrial complex continues to be ignored. Why not afix a minigun and rockets onto a donkey? Can't get any closer to the ground than that, and not dectectable by any aircraft acquisition device. THE MILITARY ALREADY HAS TOO DAMNED MANY GUNSHIPS NOW! Where is anyone coming from with this bovine spatter? AND, the Apache has NO armor canopy, so guess this won't either. Knightsix

  • This is amazing :)

  • @AIRCADETKIDLOGAN38A: And that would be "amazing" how? I flew the super sleek AH-1G Cobra in Vietnam. And the Army turned its dumb looking troop carrying C-Model Huey into a gun ship with the same equipment. I liked the C-model better. Why? It was ugly but had TWO additional human gunners on board to watch my back. So, here we go again, in full and equal measure to make more of something that is absolutely uselss. Knightsix

  • More pleases that has appeared 20-mm of a down and now the helicopter can beat to it on infantry and cars on the FLIR-chamber as well as Apache. In addition class Israeli rockets and avionics. The helicopter became analog of successful Russian transport&attack helicopters Mi-8AMTSH, Ka-29, Mi-24 (Mi-35).

  • lol no need to copy the Mi-24 Hind, leave the black hawk alone and leave the Hind to do all the badassness cuz you know.....its better!

  • @Flamingcat823 the mi 24 has been known to chop off it's rear wing when it encounters rough landings and it cost more plus it can only hold 8 troops or 2 wounded and it's heavier so it has a harder time maneuvering. the hind is more of an attack heli than multi tasking

the battle hawk can carry 6 wounded or 14 troops

  • reminds me of the mil-24d hind

  • I still like the Hind better, but I got to admit,at least they're beginning to finally catch up after a few decades!Took them long enough. This is how the Blackhawk should've been designed and built like from the very beginning!

  • @erebus38 the blackhawk was still a great helicopter from the start but i see your point

  • Finally uncle Sam brings the idea of Soviet's Hind into his fighting force, duplicating the roles of the already mighty Apache but with additional crews & payload. Black Hawk seems not to be down anymore.

  • 1:22, is that the the missile tracker that Lockheed Martin makes?

  • Silly Blackhawks, killing is for Apaches.

  • @lucky1867 I seriously just lol'd

  • They just realized what the russians did with the MI-24

  • S-70 = Apache with cargo bay

  • What a joke ? They woke up after 20y. Mi-17 does do same for 1/3 of cost.

With sturm missile, Capacity to carry up to 30 soldiers. Come on you can fic that fuzzy electronics in to Russian choper.

    But still improvement.

  • @JMiskovsky read the name.. im sure a russian added some wings and omg its officially not a baby hawk anymore, anyways what hear is that russians had a helicopter designer that they didnt like so he moved to the states, and most of the choppers out flying right now for US are his design.. dont quote me but what i heard

  • What a joke ? They woke up after 20y. Mi-17 does do same for 1/3 of cost.

    But still improvment

  • It is not fast as other attack helicopters

  • Dangerous, murderous, primitives abusing technological innovations meant to facilitate an ecological purpose they do not yet perceive. Wish them luck. Now they have scram jet cruise missiles and nuclear warheads. Somebody look up Aubrey Beardsley's illustration "The Persian Ambassadors" Make them US EU China Russia etc. :)

  • does anyone know the capacity of the 20mm cannon?

  • 0:26 did he said "black cock"?

  • 0:26 "the black cock"?

  • miday miday

  • jjaajaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaajajajajajjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjajajajaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaajajajajjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjajajajjajajaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • 3.00 "....laser technology ensures accurate precision engagements" ... 3.06 rocket misses target :/

  • 30 years behind of the concept of the hind. they must be very bad financialy to go against all the propaganda tey ever made about their own choppers!

  • oh wayet rusians do it better

  • @KRAJISNIK21 this is a better version of the hind

  • and a cannon

  • they just put tracking stuff on a blackhawk

  • Thanks allot youtube for letting terrorists now how advanced our weapon systems are!!!!

  • @moonmblock

By today's standards these systems are very primitive.

  • @sabuteur The AK-47 is a primitive system and it kills just fine, and its reliable too ! Primitive doesn't mean not effective !

  • FOR SALE!

  • @orange8Films: Yes Igor Sikorsky was born in Kiev ,Russia (actually Kiev is in modern day Ukraine) but he emigrated to the United States in 1919 long before there where any "hostilities" between the east and west. KNOW YOUR HISTORY BEFORE YOU BLURB SHIT!!!!

  • @brendenmoon Being a pedant I thought I would point out your own mistakes in the correction. If he emigrated in 1919, then the US, France, UK etc. had already become involved in the Russian Civil War fighting with the White Russians against the the Red (Communist) Russians. Hostilities may have only just begun, but they had begun all the same.

  • I love how everyone always test weapons systems on obsolete, stationary tanks, then again, the cheaper contractor always wins. :D

  • @VodkamanBR they were just for target practice dood

  • The mad scientist are still working...

  • i like how people don't realize most US helicopters including the black hawk, were made by a Russian.

  • @Orange8Films - Great thing about America is, we don't care where the shit you're from. If you're an American, you're an American. How's being a Russophile working out for you? You know, the real world is still carrying on outside of Call of Duty, wherein you're just a stupid American kid playing videogames in a basement.

  • @aaron8862006 first, im not american. and i dont play cod, so.... im just trying to get peaple to know things.

  • @Orange8Films - First, your profile claims otherwise, second, your profile was (until you made this comment) full of videos of COD. Shut up kid. Do your homework, go to bed.

  • @aaron8862006 calm down good sir, and enjoy the helicopter.

  • Interestingly the weapons and helmet system are ally israeli

  • I hope the US Army considers using this platform. It would be great for Air Assaults and Close Air Support too!

  • @dockreth The US Army has hundreds of Apache helicopters for this reason. The US Army's 160th SOAR has armed Blackhawks (MH-60L/M DAP)

  • We don't need this we already have better platforms. However, some lesser upstart armies could use a few.

  • @johnnyinsnj yeah but it would be much more effective if they put a longbow radar on it and had door guns, radar guided hellfires, and a 30mm on the bottom instead, and of course actually still kept its troop transport capability

  • @johnnyinsnj They do state in the advertisement there that its perfect for armies on a budget. Near as I can tell, the DoD basically has no real limitation on what its budget can be set to, so something like this might be good in certain circumstances where sending Apache and Blackhawks in, or if you just need a transport with more firepower to hand, it makes sense. Plus it just looks mean as hell, which for smaller armies, counts for alot.

  • @Allabaster84 Know anything about the 160th SOAR and their armed Blackhawks?
