Thanks. I actually have just bought a baitcaster. Have a Shimano Curado 201E7. I have the settings adjusted for spool tension and the brakes. Thing is that these settings work for general casting, but for flipping and pitching it seems these settings are not the same. Maybe a BWA tip showing how to adjust for different lures for casting, then how to readjust for flipping and pitching. I cant find a video on youtube that talks about reel settings when flipping/pitching.
@joiseystud It's almost impossible to completely avoid backlashes, but preparation is the key - have a good, quality reel, know the conditions of the wind and the water, and have your brakes and tension set for the weight you are using. This will really cut down on your having to deal with backlashes. Check out our video on choosing a baitcaster; we talk a little bit more about this there.
