First of all I would just like too say how amazing your book really was it was truly inspiring. just like you ladies I saw Wonderland and the accompanied DVD WADD documentary that came with it and I was just taken by him for some reason just couldn't get him off my mind. It wasn't the penis or it's size or anything to do with it really, I was just interested in his life before the murders...he seemed so innocent and gentle in his early work and just had this boyish charm about him that .........

@insidethebuilding Yes, that story has been circulating for about five years and was started by an individual who was found not to be credible.

I haven't read the book but it sounds interesting. I'm particularly intrigued by John's life after the drugs took hold. From what I know, long-term drug addiction can basically turn someone into a psychopath and I think that may have been the case with Holmes. His behavior/personality pre-drugs seems completely opposite of his actions during his drug period.

@jksonny Yes, John's work ethic and overall behaviour changed dramatically after cocaine entered the picture -- particularly freebase. In the beginning he was able to maintain but eventually, everything eroded. After his acquittal for murder charges, John did make a significant comeback to films and revitalized his personal life. Our book covers all facets of Holmes' professional and private lives (good and bad) equally and extensively. Thank you for your comments.

Did you ever try to get in touch with Marilyn Chambers before she passed on? She must have had some cool stories about John since they were 1 and 2 among the biggest stars in the industry at the time.

@WatchVenusSpa As a matter of fact, we interviewed Marilyn in 2007 for our book. Marilyn shared some great stories about John. In particular, she talked about the three films they did together: Insatiable, Marilyn Chambers Private Fantasies, and Up and Coming. A good portion of her interview material is included in our bio. Yes, Marilyn would be the female counterpart to Holmes.
