hi, i also have a range rover from '83 with a 3,5 v8 petrol. how did the engine fit on the clutch? did you need a convert-part for the clutch? how much did it cost you if i may ask? also allot of questions for you ;)
im considering an engine swap also, mine wont start no more, its just 1 problem after next...
The original motor was 3.5 V8. The normal Range Rover engine, it started with 3.5, 3.9, 4.0, 4.6 and you can get 5.2. The outside L x H x W are the same.

its a 3.5lt sl turbo milner conversion and presion sold the kits

Thats a lot of torque for a range rover box!
If u ever use low range the halfshafts will give up!
also what does this rev to?
Im guessing its a low revving diesel?
did u regear it?
What size is it and whats it out of?
