Francis please I beg you make one movie a year until you drop dead. Look at how many years we missed you. Look at how Kubrick and Brando squandered their final years away. You are on a roll don't stop.

If he's writing his own scripts, it's next to impossible to make a new movie each year. Writing the script alone could take a year or two, not to mention finding the right cast and crew and getting the financing in place.

I think a more realistic expectatiion is to hope for a new film every three years or so. But I agree with your sentiment in general. I hope he doesn't decide to take another ten years off or waste his talent on another Jack or Peggy Sue.

I agree with you. The craft of writing a script(see Zoetrope publication Story) takes time, pre-production, shooting, editing...they all take time. We must not hold dear Francis to a calendar year. Perhaps filmmaking needs to be allowed an 18-month year. I'm wirting & shooting a feature film, and believe me, the money is the easiest part of it all. Te really hard work is translating the story from page to screen without losing the original magic. Cheers to all at Zoetrope!
