@Mregypt83 i think there was limited time the evacuation was probably underway by this point. Making a ZPM could take a while and/or someone would notice him doing so and report that he was trying to change the future. That said she could have asked him to tell her which room(s) in the city could make them and give her the instructions to follow (perhaps as a recorded hologram).
The final possibility is that Atlantis doesn't have the facilities to build ZPMs however that does seem unlikely.
@BlueGlowingLight4 yea thats why i dont understand either is how come they dont just use the data base to make more, they can use the chair to find the information needed and then if they need translation they could use dr.jackson to translate even though Mckay understands ancient tech really well
@Mregypt83@Mregypt83 I've heard that explained away in one of the SGU episodes. Since the ancients have different names for everything it's very hard to search the database for something. Although yes with the mind reading chair it should be easier.
That said does the chair have direct/full access to the database? It seems somewhat like a control interface and you wouldn't try browsing the internet with an xbox controller.

@Mregypt83 she diden't, but he gave Weir a list of planet's with known ZPM's which was only followed up on once.
