His name is different in Eastern & Western versions of SF games. Long ago, they swapped the names of Balrog, Vega, and M.Bison around when they sent the game to America. So to avoid confusion, they're often called "Boxer," "Claw," and "Dictator" in competitive circles.
You're correct but they only changed the name in america to avoid law suites from Tyson, M. Bison was rogs name soo thats waaay to clsoe for comfort they wanted to change it and decided to do so.
I am aware of why they changed the names around. I didn't feel the need to explain that to him, just felt it necessary to tell him where the "Boxer" identification comes from. :)
ya last august. so theyve had it for about 4 months before anywhere else in the world. so of course theyre ahead of everybody else in the world at yet another thing...
Japan isin't better than the rest of the world at SF4 because they had it 4 months earlier... They just have so much better overall competition and a better arcde scene so they get to practice vs better players and therefore learn more than other players in other countreis.
ok when the game first came out in the west practically every ryu player in japan could do shoryuken FADC ultra every time and we all thought wow, we'll never be able to do that. now, 4 months after its come out, practically every ryu player in the west can do it every time as well. of course the fact that they got the game 4 months earlier makes a difference, but ur also right that the arcade scene in japan is bigger than anywhere else which helps them compete at a higher level.
MIKE BISON is the gentleman's name and he kicks a lotta ass in this game.

that boxer is too overpowered, takes no skill to use just like the monkey. capcom need to fix that if they wanna claim game balanced.
