Today, I play Wolfenstein with SDL, but the original game had a great glitch:

The moment opened the door to face Hans Grosse, I instantly pushed ESCAPE and saved the game, then loaded the game I had just saved. Hans started firing at me like crazy, but I didn't get hurt whatsoever!! I just stood there watching the big guy, who only tried to kill without leaving the room. Also, he fired, but no sound of his chainguns was heard.

Wolf 3d isnt canonical. The only games that are are RTCW and Wolfenstein (2009).

Each of them are different versions of a similiar story, with Wolfenstein 2009 being a remake of the very first.

None of them can be "non-canon" because there IS NO continuing story.

You can't make any sort of comparitive narrative with any other Wolfenstein game, because no narrative realtionship between individual Wolfenstein games exist.

To conclude, none of them can be considered canon or non-canon.

Probably it's an engine issue.

Are you by any chance using Snowberry/Doomsday?

If that's the case, you can skip that problem using the /noclip command in the console, but deactivate it after crossing the door.

I've played a lot of first person shooters over the years, but I'll always remember Hans showing up yelling GUTENTAG! as once of the most memorable things I've experienced in all my gaming. Great stuff.

man, my grandparents used 2 have this game. and id play it when i went visiting. 1 thing that irked me was that you had 2 spell the name of 1 of the bosses to get into the game. aside from that i liked this game. espically the chain gun.
