  • I like this version with orchestra, the original setting is only for organ and voices. These litany are very convenient to sing for the french choirs because they are in french, for the Church of France is "allergic" to latin, we have to look for such works.

  • but quite awful accent... it is true that french is one of the most difficult languages, but danish and english boychoirs do have a better pronunciation of french even if there own language is more far from french than catalan. for all these reasons, i think that the accent should have be better worked.

    (this do not change anything to the fact that i am fondof the escolania)

  • Poulenc's choral works, perhaps particularly the unaccompanied motets, are stunning, and Escolania does a fine job with this one. Any more out there that users can point me towards ?

  • Pas la 1e fois que j'entends cette pièce de Poulenc. Encore une fois ici une très belle démonstration de l'Escolania avec son approche unique de l'Art vocal. Un beau moment.
