My prayers are with Lisa. My brother Donny gave the copy of Elvis's Book of Mormon to Lisa's P.R. Person. Anyone, please tell Lisa that I will personally take her to the vault in Salt Lake City and let her see the original book and I will share with her some more personal conversations that I had with her father, Elvis. The Lord's works will NOT be frustrated. Thanks to all of you for your caring love and understanding! Please tell Lisa! Alan Osmond

Elvis had the missionary discussions twice and though he has passed on, he is in Paradise where my parents are too, and I know that my Mother and Father will continue their discussions with him as they did with Elvis on the phone. What I worry about more than anything, is Lisa. Elvis loves her! He wants her to hear and know what he fourd to be true. She has the right to agree or not, but she needs to listen and know that Elis was trying to help her any in way he could.
I just read these comments. Bless those who believe my words because they are true. Some of you need to better understand our Christian way of life. We do NOT lie. Yes, there are good and bad Mormons just like in any other religion but, I did NOT make this up. Elvis was probably going to share with us his desire to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the barbeque that we never got to have because, "IT DOES MATTER WHAT CHURCH A PERSON GOES TO".
Alan, I am a true believer in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I didn't mean any disrespect to them.I am a member also. I was talking to the people with the nasty and mean comments. God Bless you and your family, you guys are the reason I looked into the church in 1974 and joined. You guys are a great influence in my life, Thank You.
@Aldensmawmaw What are you so afraid of? I knew Elvis personally. He said he wanted to be a preacher. Elvis read The Book of Mormon and even had the missionary discussions with plans of joining. The whole reason for speaking out is because Elvis wanted to Help Lisa. He still can is Lisa and you are willing to listen and not be so afraid of the truth! Alan Osmond
Respond to this video... No theif here! Just a friend who knew Elvis Personally and had some great discussions with him about the Lord and family. I stand as a witness of Elvis's good heart and his desire to serve the Lord. He always sang spiritual songs and that is what he wanted for his daughter Lisa. I still have not personally talked with Lisa but it will be one of the Love Elvis had for her!
does it rally matter what religion he was????/ i am LDS and a very devoted Elvis music lover. I personally believe that Elvis loved the lord and that is all that needs to be said. He truly had a gift that was personally delivered to him by GOD himself and that is all that we need to know. it is as simple as that !! Miss you always E !!
@kennyt1972 YES PLZ HELP LISA MARIE FROM THAT SCIENTOLOGY BLACK MAGICK CULT IT WAS PRISCILLA WHO THEY USED TO GET HER IN THERE! LISA IS A VERY SMART GURL BUT SCIENTOLOGY IS NOT FOR HERE! ALL ANYONE NEEDS IN LIFE IS TO HAVE FAITH IN THEMSELVES AND NOT IN NO ONES ELSES RELGIOUS BELIEFS, PHILOSOPHIES OR DOCTIRINES OF LIFE BUT THEIR OWN!
@Zecalran Lisa's Father, Elvis Presley, seemed to know what his daughter needed! Elvis believed in God and was searching for Him! He found Him and the Gospel of Jesus Christ which stands for values and doctrines or philosophies of God. We as humans need to be more humble and realize we are God's kids and will be held accountable for our choices that we make. Let's make good ones!
@kennyt1972 Yes! Everyone like to look at the dark side of life it seems. Elvis had a good and generous heart and loved his daughter lisa and also the fans. He told my family that, "If I could do it all over again, I would do like you and sign every autograph of every fan that wanted it! Elvis was a GOOD entertainer and a GREAT Man! I am honored that I had personal conversations with him! Alan Osmond
I'm not sure how much of this is true. I knew Elvis and yes, he had a copy of the Book Of Mormon but he also had copies of many other beliefs that he read or glanced through. He had a habit of writing in his books. He did not believe in the LDS religion as much as he did Pentecostal. I was LDS at the time he and I were friends so I do know what I am speaking of. I am in the process of checking to see how much of this is fact or fiction. I know people want to 'believe' certain things...
@Sparklegrl1 " I know people want to 'believe' certain things."
With mormons this is an understatement for certain! They will make up stories devoid of fact to promote their religion. Of course, most people would call this lying. But the mormons, as do other religions, believe it is OK to lie to non-believers and also lie to anyone if it strengthens their testimony.
@satancouldkillyounow First of all thosse who do not know the LDS church from first hand should not speak ill of it..Was it not Christ himself that said,"LET HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE" Those people that do not know or understand the whole religion need to get informed BEFORE they make comments as to the vality of a religion. I personally believe in the lord and that is all that I or anyone needs to know.
@satancouldkillyounow And, you my friend don't know what you are talking about! As a Member of the LDS faith, a Mormon, may I suggest that you be very careful in how you judge others. Everything you do and even think in this life is recorded and you will be responsible for your words and actions. I will pray for you and suggest you do the same. When you have something special, you wish to share it with others!
I am a huge fan of Elvis and i'm LDS. i've read that he was always very religious, and his gospel songs are so passionate. i wondered if he ever got his hands on the BOM. it makes me so happy that he did!! RIP elvis and God bless.
Thanks for sharing, Alan. I;m from Salt Lake City, also. Big Elvis Fan, and Osmonds, as well. Both families have strong values. I find God in everything, including religions. It is the people who make the churches, and God who makes the people. Take Care and God Bless!.

Lisa would have folllowed Jesus which Elvis fathfully believed...and The holy Bible but unfortunately she was led to a cult that of Scientolgy by the same person who tried to destroy Elvis but his God was on side!
"minestra77" The Osmonds did not copy Elvis's jumpsuits. I thought they were impersonating him, but then I found out they HAD THE SAME DESIGNER , Bill Belew, while in Las Vegas Belew designed for many of the acts in Las Vegas at that time. Elvis's jumpsuits were always one of a kind however.
This is such a wonderful story, so glad to hear good things about Elvis that I have never heard before, thank you Alan, I thought that they wore the same jumpsuits before he mentioned it but was glad to finally hear it from them that they did.
i knew elvis and the osmonds were close friends from being in vegs, but never knew hey were this close i know elvis loved their mother because he thought she remined him of his mother, i wish they could have had that cookoutm glad to hear alan tell the story, thanks alan, and all the osmond family
Thank you so much for sharing this. So many sides of the man-it is nice to hear from someone who is just sharing the joy, not trying to make a million!Yall too were part of America's culture.
I agree. I wonder if Lisa would have made any different choices if this book had been placed in her hands when she was 12. If you think about it, those were his final wishes for Lisa. Alan-- Thanks for the loving memories, and it sounds like he respected the Osmonds even trusted you a bit with his feelings, wanted to get to know you better. Too bad the event didnt take place--who knows what might have transpired. Elvis was searching.
